Didn't seem that obvious to me when I was driving it in Bangsar, especially between speed bumps and the car in front. Always managed to speed up at the slightest tap of the accelerator and easily overtook several cars as well going up the Bangsar hill along Lorong Maarof.

It depends on where you booked it. I booked mine 1st week of September and its arriving at the end of October

The Polo would be a little cramp for 5 people but if they are all small sized then its ok. I had 5 people in the Golf MkVI GTI and its not really that comfortable either so I think the Polo would be a tad bit difficult.

But if it is for children and all, then its fine. You can actually see the Polo at VW Wearnes Bangsar, its sitting in their basement

Personally I think the Mini has more character and I like the interior a lot. But the only one thing which made me go with the Golf is the fact that the Mini is 2 door and I am rather big sized so I am not comfortable sitting in a Mini. My friend also just gotten her new Mini Cooper S, drives like a dream and has loads of power as well.

No need feel malu man, its our right as a consumer to decide what we want to buy. Whether we perform loads of research or buy on impulse. Most of the time, they (the producers) want us to do the latter

Yeah the invitation was extended to all members in the Volkswagen Golf Club Malaysia for the launch last night. If I am not wrong, the tuning package starts from RM6.3k onwards.

at first that was a problem for me too, no electric seats but then i spoke to my client who drives a 5-series and he says that electric seats are overrated.

Pros
- cool and you get to store all your seat settings
- better adjustment capabilities

Cons
- when it breaks down it is costly to repair
- if you get into an accident and the car battery is cut off, you can't move the seat. A case where firemen had to use tools to free my client after he got into a major accident

LOL I really can't imagine a Beetle with 210hp and then with some aftermarket tuning, go up to 265hp!!

Well it depends on what you mean by in between, if you are talking about prices, since the Polo at RM110k and the Golf 1.4 at RM160k both OTR with insurance, there are plenty of cars in between but mostly from the Japanese makers.

Unless you can find a good 2nd hand Golf MkV if you want a sporty feel but if you want to have the whole european marque, you can get a fairly newer 2nd hand BMW 1-Series.

Hrm, hard to gauge because I only sat in the 308 once and the Golf a couple of times. But I do know that the Golf's seat isn't that exactly comfy but maybe it gets better after more usage

Ok, I was at the VW showroom earlier and sat inside the Polo. Now I understand why people say that it isn't comfortable. Yeah I have to agree the fabric seats are a little on the harder side of things. But it gets some getting used to I guess.
