I think it is possible. Anyone else can confirm on this?
Not sure why though. For me, it's hard to be spotted even at places like Bukit Bintang or Bangsar. Timing not right I guess.
I heard the United Grey looks awesome when you see it for yourself instead of pictures. What do you guys think?
*
My first preference is the United Grey but because I drive on the highway 80% of the time, my current car has plenty of stone chips at the bumper and the hood so I know that United Grey, Tornado Red and Black will be very obvious especially on the stone chips.

QUOTE(Yan @ Sep 13 2010, 10:36 PM)
yah can get full refund... i asked Cergaz .. they said will get back 100% but takes awhile.

Anyways i called up VW HQ this afternoon. They din bring in the united grey for the Golf TSI. sad.gif .. so i guess it's either Silver or Black for me.. leaning towards black...  White seems a bit weird on thie Golf model...
*
Black is nice, but without the Red trim like how the GTI has it, it doesn't stand out as much. I think Silver is a little too common but I chose the white tongue.gif

better change em while it's still new and not like 3 mths later no more value for the rims + tyres. Changing em to at least 17" rims since the rocco's 1.4 also are with 17"rims
*
LOL, i have the same idea as well! Was thinking of getting those Mk6 GTI fellas rims when they trade up. Really like the 17" GTI rims!

Wow those rims look awesome and extremely stylish! Arrggh decisions decisions.

Heard that FA Wagen offers a package where you can get the 17" GTI rims as well. Gonna check with Wearnes if they offer that as well.

17" GTI rims(denver) is nice, but the 18" detroits on MK5 GTI SE is even better. the color is slightly different. inside of it is black and the rims are gun metal color
*
I used to think that so until I saw the 17" dual tone rims. Those are the ones I want to get. The 18" detroits are nice but I think I will feel the pinch a bit more especially when looking to change the tyres especially since I travel more than 100km a day.

finally, i m back to bolehland... went to the showunit near penchala... only manage to test drive the Golf 1.4 TSI along Penchala link and den U-turn..

got confused with the wiper and signal indicator, terbalik with japanese cars  doh.gif

I used to just cruising with my own car, but the sales gal ask me just tekan aje with the Golf.. tongue.gif

impressive pickup even before 2000 rpm, reach 100km/h in no time... cabin is quiet... nice handling

I would prefer it comes with leather seats, more classy and luxury..

overall... very good car...  thumbup.gif

Ah you went to the Cergas showroom. I was at the Wearnes one earlier today. I have a loong wait before my batch arrives sad.gif

Isn't white color, the stone chips are more obvious?
*
Really? I thought because of the white undercoat, then white on white shouldn't be that obvious...

Saw the Golf 1.4 TSI on the roads already! Saw two of them in SS2, one red and one sapphire blue.

Have a long wait for mine, everything settled but the September batch is fully booked already...

My SA is gonna kill me already ..i change my mind too many times already .. i previously chose the silver due to no stock for the graphite blue. Then the branch manager recommended me the black color as he says the silver is too common. Today my SA called and told me the graphite blue is available since a customer pulled out. But now i'm in a quandary pulak.. saw the tornado red on the road (GTIs) .. looks menacing...    icon_question.gif   rclxub.gif
*
Yeah the one I saw on the road yesterday was a Tornado red as well as a Graphite Blue, personally I like the blue better because I like blue generally.

At least the branch you ordered from has people pulling out, I asked my SA, no one pulled out from the September list tongue.gif

finally made my decision and chose the Tornado Red instead of the black or white. Wud hav liked the United Grey but gotta wait for next shipment. Shud be getting my car by this Friday .. woohoo... now my other dilemma is the RIMS...

I think there's no tornado red for 1.4 Tsi. It's Amaryllis red.....have a look at it and there's a tinge of orange in it
*
there is bro .. not featured in their website .. there are 2 reds for the 1.4 TSI.. the amaryllis red and also the tornado red. smile.gif 100% sure. since i was at the showroom and the 1.4 was parked next to another tornado red GTI.. so i had a good look at both to c the differences. The amaryllis red is sort of darker n maroonish like...
*
Yeah I can confirm with Yan as well, there are two versions of Red for the Golf 1.4. The SA showed it to me, the one in the showroom was Amarylis Red and they had a Tornado Red Golf 1.4 TSI in the basement.

At least this would open a whole new range of rumours!

High chance the Jetta will be CKD here.

Nett selling price (with Light & Sound Package) - Peninsular Malaysia* 155,888.00

extra 6k. one of the features:

Cornering light system. how does it work?
*
Basically if you are turning left, then your light also turns left and illuminates the road that is coming and not just shining on the guard rail.

Collected my Golf just now !  biggrin.gif    first trip back home already already going through heavy rain.  Quite scared

of other car might rear ended it.  One initial early finding, roof sound insulation not as good as I thought it would be,

can hear rain quite clearly though not as bad as Honda.

Sorry for crappy picture.

Umm... when I test drove it the sound insulation was considered below par. from what I gather the GTi should more or less be the same but just that the GTi has a got a different sound (which would be the engine - exhaust) to listen to compared to TSi (which engine - exhaust is pretty much silent therefore you hear a lot of other 'sound' / noise).

Come to think of it, I can't recall hearing heavy rain noises in other cars (Alfas, BMWs) I've driven before either sweat.gif Guess, its not something people often pay attention to because when it's raining heavily, its usually very noisy laugh.gif
*
I wonder if people would be buying the head unit with the built in GPS I saw some folks selling in the VW Golf forums. Looks pretty cool but its extremely pricey for it.

If too noisy, blast your radio only hahaha. But to me, nothing is noisier than my old Honda Civic. That car is like deafening....

Yan, you got the 17" Detroits from FA Wagen right? Or did you get them off a GTI owner who wanted to get rid of his stock rims?

A fella offered RM3k for his set of rims with 50% tyre wear which I think is a little too expensive IMHO.
