That is the price without the light and sound package. With the light and sound package, it would be RM158,888.

Went for a test drive of the car on Saturday and placed a booking for the Golf 1.4

Got some pros and cons from the test drive I feel, don't feel the lag too much but the things that irk me is the interior in terms of the lack of leather seats, electric seats seem to make it look cheapish.

Was considering a 2nd hand Mk5 before this but in the end decided to get a new car instead.

If you get it from Wearnes you get a 5 year road assist complimentary from them.

The problem with bringing in the TDI's in here to Malaysia is that our petrol stations are only selling Euro 2M diesels instead of the Euro 4M where they get their most benefits of more power and better FC. I really wish that in Malaysia that they start selling the Euro 4M diesels. Then might see more diesel cars being brought in.

Yeah I had the same thought hence I decided to get a new car. Never really owned a new car before n most of my previous cars were 2nd hand. Had to live through a nightmare with the current one hence decided to get a new car.

Yeah I saw the APR remap, brings it to 190hp

I think it will to, need to check and double check with the SC and the shop that does the remap

Yeah they have a huge list of clauses there!

Yeah they have the APR ECU remap but if I am not mistaken, stage 1 brings it to 190hp only

Not for VW at the moment IMHO, I know RHB was giving 2.8* for Peugeot cars though.

Unfortunately I already made a booking and am quite keen o. It will let you know if there are any problems with it

On the bright side, this really isn't the 1st gen, here maybe but it has been out for almost a year already in other countries and Singapore. Hopefully we can learn from their experience as well

I missed the September batch hence it should be here in October. Yes, I chose white because I drive on the highway 80% of the time so any other collies and the front bonnet paint chips due to the small stones and pebbles are very obvious. I wanted red initially but the red for the Golf didn't seem as nice as it looked on the MkV GTI's. The dealer mentioned that it is a different shade of red and not the tornado red.

From the salesperson who mentioned to me, the popular colours are the amaryllis red, reflex silver and one of the blue colours. Stocks for those are quite low for it as most people who booked it chose those colours.

There are two types of red available, Amaryllis Red and Tornado Red according to the dealer although on the website it is only listed as 1 type of Red.

Agree that the black isn't as nice as the GTI version because of the lack of red trim. Makes a hell of a difference!

Yeah the light blue has a nice name to it, its called Shark Blue on the brochure

Thanks, ordered it via Wearnes at Bangsar, not too sure how long the waiting list but expecting it in Oct

So far, the number of the bookings for the Polo is still relatively low. No one around Msia interested in the car? Looks fantastic though, saw the manual version at Wearnes the other day. Seriously good looking!

No manual version, the manual version that they have is just to pass the Puspakom test only.

The Polo feels about the size of the Myvi. If you sit in the older Polo, this one is slightly bigger

Hrm, that is weird indeed. The SA from Wearnes told me that there is when she asked me which colour I preferred when I was placing my booking for the car. But there are a number of the GTI's out there on the road with United Grey as their colour. I saw one of them at the Wearnes VW Bangsar basement, a United Grey GTI of course.
