well... Polo has the same max torque as Civic/Altis 1.8 but starting at 1.5k rpm... price just a few RM from Altis 1.8E... but one's VW the other's Toyota...

FC wise... 1.2 vs 1.8? road tax also cheaper... some more 6 air bags...

Have been tested-drive the Golf before, the performance is fantastic, just the interior space is small.

anyways, for those who are contemplating

mind you, service costs is not that cheap
i have a vw on it's second year service now(service interval is 15k km)
30k km, the bill came close to about a thousand

i tested the golf gti... the performance... my God... i tried to step the pedal for overtaking during the test drive and i was like holy fffffff... i didn't even step half of the pedal and the car was like accelerating like a jet! the 6 speed dsg changes from 2k rpm to 4k rpm in a sec!

compare polo 1.2 TSI with honda jazz..u'll realize juz how overpriced that jap mini is...VW trump over honda anytime!

U beat me to the punch ....the polo should be compared to the jazz/i30/latio sport/pug 308 vti warm hatch class......for the price, the specs are great plus its a german car .....

take polo then, swift sport (too many fake) around and VW commands a higher brand value than suzuki

who can resist 7 speed DSG la.

those who always think IF the gearbox broke down will cost a fortune to repair

15k km normal oil change is about RM500
then the next 15k km(30k km) come close to RM1k
next 15k km(45k km) IIRC it's about RM800
on the 60k km, the bill is RM2.6k
the 75k km one will be more, i dont know how much yet

total service costs for 4 years(assume you stick to the 15k km interval) is about RM5k, not inclusive of other stuffs such as wipers, tires and brake pads.
the total service and parts costs for my VW over the last two years came close to about RM500x3 +RM1k +RM350 =~ RM2.9k

oh, i service my car every 7.5k km, instead of 15k km

i can safely assume that your maintenance for this car will costs you about RM100-200/month

yea lo,thats why my uncle until now still driving manual gear, instead of auto. Auto easy to spoil, i heard this from 8 years old to 28 years old

but now i heard 7 speed DSG got problem....seems like pug AL4 not too bad after all.
