thanks crazy yee but i have few questions . my macbook is 13" and is it ok to upgrade the hard disk to 500GB and whether i should stick to lower rpm and not higher? according to the machine tech, he ask me to upgrade to only the double of the existing size say if 160GB than just upgrade to 320GB as they experience problem. i just need confirmation from you guys whether any of you heard before of this thing. i need second opinion as i feel my needs right now is 500GB space.
only upgradable to double the size? if i was there i'd would laugh my ass off at him

u wont have any problem with 500gb. rpm is up to you. the speed/vibration/noise whatever is really minimal, n the price difference will normally be around rm50 only. up to you

I see. I don't know what was the cause but the previous mac that I tried cause it to hang up. Hopefully for new macs Windows 7 will work just as good as a PC counterpart.

saw ur post at mc.net, dun sell ur MBP la bro, learn to use OSX. go here:

hi guys,
im looking for portable yet light laptop for my surfing/bussiness function. since i've already got my g73 asus laptop for desktop replacement/gaming function, so i'd like to get a something light for my bussiness purpose as i'll be travelling quite sometimes.
i know this might be wrong thread to ask LOL but yet i still want to ask.
i prefer MBP compared to MBA due to hdd capacity and price-wise.
however i've certain question before i certainly with my choice.
here's some question :
1. MBP never got any virus/keylogger/hacked at all? right? (this is most important as i'll be storing all sensitive document on my macbook soon -- as i've been hacked before on windows)
2. how lightly the MBP?
3. about the ACPP -- 1 year extend to 3 years warranty? all-inclusive warranty?
4. battery life wise?
5. MBP vs MBA -- whats the catch?
thanks
1. no because no one bothers to write virus/keylogger for OSX. not because OSX is immune. keep in mind that this is an OSX thing, not macs. a Windows installed on a mac can still get virus, it just wont affect OSX
2. the weight/size is right there at the mbp specs page on apple.com. it's definitely heavier than most laptops since ur comparing aluminium vs plastic, but they feel much more sturdy
3. yes extended to 3 years. covers hardware n tech support. user damage wont be covered
4. 5 hours should not be a problem
5. MBP = performance, MBA = portability. u said u prefer MBP bcuz of hdd n price. now think...since u already have tons of hdd space on ur other machines, do u need a laptop with a lot of space? and price wise, dun forget the MBA comes with something like an SSD, n portability doesnt come cheap. it's not a netbook
if i were you, already having a powerful desktop, i'd definitely get an MBA so it's easier for me to bring my laptop around.
