Damn it. I just booked on MAS Global sale yesterday for Jakarta going 14th January and return 17th for RM347. And today AA has the Chinese New Year Sales for the same date for roughly RM150. Damn it!!!!!

BTW stimix, I found some other good, recommended and cheap accomodations in Jakarta that central. Well recommended by tripadvisor at least.

nolaa, i doubt it will have any better promo than this..

Actually the fares for certain sectors are not that cheap. The cheapest for KL - London - KL (mid week travel off peak season) is RM 1540 (return tax inclusive). Once you include food, luggage and comfort kit, the price becomes RM 1950.

You can get a full service airline like Qatar Airways for about RM 2300 for peak travel with all the extra comforts. So spending an extra RM 350 for comfort on a 12 hr journey i think is worth it.

Buy separately for KL- China / Taiwan flight tickets, this will save you about RM29-39 per pax.

Stuff I learned today, Air Asia's so called "convenience" fee is only for the flight tickets, not for luggage/food. I bought my flight tickets with M2U months ago and added luggage and food recently and was not charged the convenience fee. Cool!

is it possible air asia will do another promotion for flight in june 2011?
last promotion lasted last 10th november 2010...

If solo i agree....better add rm350. but when in pair its already rm700, bring children..its 1k

nope, that period of promo is passed, which is around may 2010.

it's sort of like 2times 'BIG' promos per year, may booking = jan-jun, nov booking= july-nov. (something like tat)

To China & Aussie, AAX is super cheap but to London I think as mentioned by cybermaster 9Since he has done lotsa price comparsion haha) might not be a good deal..furthermore the airport from London is far & transportation from Stan...(whatever) to London might not be cheap?

Yes. China and Australia is quite cheap. UK is cheap on paper but once u include all the additional frills and the cost of travel from Standsted to London city, its better to take a full service airline.
