QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 21 2011, 12:20 AM) AA sure like you alot because you are such a good consumer. Don't mind being squeezed by AA and pay for someting your are supposely entitled foc. You have to remember that AA is a low cost airline, of course all the freebies that you get from a full commercial airline have to pay.Anyway, I didn't pay extra for it. The baggage drop counter staff, upgraded our 3 seats to priority red seats A,B and C after I brought up the problem to him. BTW, scared to sit on your own is it? |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 21 2011, 11:39 AM) Heard that AirAsia is planning to fly to South Africa, Kenya or Egypt soon. Hope it happens fast as it will push other airlines to lower prices. Wow not bad. Was wondering when they are flying to USA or Canada or other parts of Europe.Until then, will have no choice but to take full commercial airline as I'm too lazy to run from 1 airport to another airport. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 21 2011, 03:27 PM) Oh...you like to sit quietly beside a stranger far away from your hubby/bf or your loved one is it ? Well like monkeyflo has explained, it is not intentionally.Perhaps you didn't read my post properly. This is about ethical business practice. When you book 3 seats under ONE (1) booking, Ethically, AA should allocate the seats closest possible. But AA's automatic seat allocation system intentionally or unintentionally break up the seats several rows away to force passenger to pay for togetherness. ( It is still ok if it is just 1 row behind) As for the AA is a low cost airline....not totally true. For example all in return airfare to London in mid November is more expensive than MAS as at today booking. Services like extra luggage weight, priority red seats ets ets ..need to pay no doubt about it. But getting paid unethically by breaking out the seats under one booking is not right. I highlighted the issue here so that more passengers will voice out their complains to the ground staff and subsequently AA can take corrective measures to improve and to be a better passenger friendly airline. So... I guess you also have no issue with the impending July price hike by Astro huh ? You have to understand that you are not the only booking 3 seats under 1 booking. There are many twin and triple seats under 1 booking hence you MIGHT be separated when you check in. Plus most probably alot of those twin and triple seats under 1 booking - they paid for their seats already. It goes the same with full commercial airline. If check in early (for both full commercial & low cost airline), then the probability to be seated together is much higher. And no, I don't care if my BF sits like 10 rows away or I'm sitting next to a stranger. Nothing wrong with that. Well, AA offers low pricing at only a few seats. MAS also what. If they are offering ALL seats at that price - then bankrupt la? It's for those first come first pay hence getting the ticket. If you think MAS is cheaper then can book MAS, didn't say you should. No, I have no issues of Astro hiking the price. U also want salary increment right? If dun like the price, I will just cancel la. No big deal. QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 21 2011, 04:36 PM) I can't agree with your logic above. Upon my request to change the seats at the AA counter ground staff, their apologized for the error and gave me the the same row A,B and C. Their have ample seats and the flight is not full. No I am not rich. I just am very good with financial planning & execution only.Maybe you are a rich girl and don't mind paying for whatever is right or wrong. Average people fighting for their rights to save money are regarded as calculative and nuisance. Well I am glad you get your row of seats & the staff apologize for their error. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 21 2011, 04:59 PM) Thank you. No, I'm not being an AA fan but I didn't know that when you went to check in, you found out the flight was not full. I hope you don't simply plugged a logic out of your own imagination to defend AA like a fan-girl. I'm not saying AA is bad is total. Just point out one or two flaws in their system. AA needs critics to improve and to be more passengers friendly. If it was full, what I have explained (not sure if you fully understand it or not), it is logical. Because many ppl booked and many ppl pick seats and maybe others check in earlier than you get the 'sit together seats. Hence the ones that check in last will be separated. Because, I've experience before for Full Commercial flights and Low Cost flights, those who check in the latest keep complaining to the check in staff why cannot sit together when they are the ones that are the last few groups in line. That one I totally can't tolerate, coz come late some more want to request for many things. |

QUOTE(CHRYSSA @ Jun 21 2011, 10:06 PM) Hi guys.. I did a stupid mistake when I add on luggage. I clicked on the wrong choice and I have confirmed the changes. Luckily I have not made any payment but it does not allow me to modify my booking anymore. Help!! Since you have not made payment yet, just go to the booking page and rebook with the correct added luggage. |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 22 2011, 07:55 AM) I wouldnt take AA on long haul flights but what im more interested in is the drop in prices for conventional airlines once AA enters that market. I was thinking the same thing, however, I would have to really try to take it once just to see how it'll fare (seats wise) with full commercial airline. But then again, if full commercial airlines are able to offer cheaper price then of course I'd go for full commercial airline.Aih, after AAX also, MAS & SIA never drop their price!!! It seems like it's getting more expensive! |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jun 29 2011, 07:20 AM) I flew AA from KL-CHC few days ago. Was the seating the new one as described in AA's blog? The grey & red seats.Everything went perfectly well. Book hot seats as well, very comfy. No problem or whatsoever. Overall very very satisfied with the service. Of course the food not that nice, but it's not a big issue. Hehe. |

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Jul 4 2011, 10:35 AM) I asked on of my colleague that travels AA frequently, his bag fits into the hand carry luggage. And my bag + my fins are smaller. But i selected check in luggage at the "modify my booking" page. Now AA says i owe them Rm25, and i cannot cancel it. Any ideas how? Probably you should try calling them up since you aren't able to cancel it? |

QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Jul 17 2011, 07:28 PM) guys, i'm flying to london on this coming september Air Asia currently only flies into Stansted. They have announced that they will fly to Gatwick from October onwards.is it better to fly to Stansted airport or Gatwick airport? Which has the better way to get to London, thanks. QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Jul 20 2011, 03:22 AM) Referring to AA's website here (http://www.airasia.com/my/en/latestnews/gatwickairport.page), they are currently flying into STN until 23 October 2011 and into LGW from 24 October 2011 onwards. If you select to go to LGW in August (as I've tried earlier), the flight still shows that it lands in STN. |

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Jul 20 2011, 01:51 PM) how much do they charge for changing flight date/time? The last time i asked (a few months ago), it was RM100 per sector for international flight. Best you go through the T&C of your air ticket to be sure.and does anyone know a contact number besides that RM1.95 per minute number? Coz I just called and they wasted 2 minutes with nonsense recorded messages... No, they don't have a toll free nor normal number for you to call. You can always try their online chat customer service. |
