I already book and get the insurance cert email, but yet to receive the full itinerary. is this normal?

Dun worry, since they already email you the insurance cert, your flight ticket is confirmed. Maybe go to 'manage my booking' to recheck?

QUOTE(Romeo Darius @ Jun 1 2011, 07:42 AM)
i have 1 question here..
i'm looking to buy Deuter Futura Vario 50 + 10 for my trip to Sarawak..
can i bring this size of bag into the flight cabin?

i just don't want to pay for the luggage as I only want to bring 1 backpack..

the height is about 65cm..
i think the bag weight + my shirt is less than 7kg..
but just worry of the size..
*
I believe that your backpack will be bigger than the small cabin luggage. If it is, they might refuse your entry. You do understand that ALL airlines may refuse passengers who do not check in their large backpack right?

Even though your bag may be less than 7kg, the size matters.

as long as it is within permitted size, it is ok

Your hand carry baggage should be the 56 x 36 x 23 cm in dimension and should weigh less than 7 kg.

make sure you doesn't pack so full and make the height to 56cm la..
*
Romeo already mentioned that the height of his backpack is 65cm...

Really.. bad luck! Do u use the same bag as i stated above? Deuter Futura Vario 50+10L..
Not cool..  cry.gif

I need to buy that size because want to use it for other activities like hiking and so on..
doesn't want to buy a small one..

hmmm.. I already books the flight..
can i add the extra luggage charge on my online booking?

or i can make it small i guess..
bring less cloth will make it smaller i think..
deuter quite flexible maybe..

RM15 + RM15 = waste!  shakehead.gif
*
Hey,

Yea you can buy luggage from Manage My Booking. I'm not sure if the price is the same as when we do the flight booking or not.

If the bag can be transformed to a smaller size, why not? If you are unable to shrink it to 50+cm, then sorry lor.

Again same answer: Is your backpack the same size as cabin luggage? If not, then sorry cannot.

Laptop bag is allowed as an additional bag.

AA is creazy yo.  mad.gif ,there put their cabin crew to wait and boarding area to weight the hand luggage  sweat.gif ,my dad say they will not buy AA tix anymore
*
How is the airline crazy by placing the cabin crew at the boarding area to weight and measure the hand luggage?

Maybe you are the crazy one because AA is just adhering to the rules & regulations.

going to take a airasia 8 hour flight. 1st time, Hope is not as nightmare-ish as evryone described to me
*
Don't worry about it. It should be alright. Going to Melb/Gold Coast?

I'm heading to Japan in Sept - i think about 7hr flight which won't be a problem. After all Air Asia X recently or was it last year - changed most of the seats in most of the planes.

Should be ok unless you are the very choosy type of people then only First/Business class will suit you.

QUOTE(viosturbo500hp @ Jun 7 2011, 09:42 AM)
changed all the seats , means more legroom? i used to sit aa to go to sabah and langkawi often. but their legroom is just doh.gif

so airasia X legroom much better?
*
Yea it will be more legroom than those black leather seats. I dunno where is the link dy. It was posted by one of the staffs at the air asia blog.

If you feel that the legroom is a big problem for you, you can always opt to fly Business with MAS.

What the *** on earth i can't book the airplane ticket. It keep saying error.
*
Hey,

I was experiencing the same thing earlier this week or should I say since the RM0.10 sales period.

Press 'Back' at your browser and click on the process buttons again. It should be ok after a few times.

For me, this is what I've encountered.

1) Choose destination & date - error twice, 3rd time ok.
2) Choose desired flight time - no error.
3) Log into a/c - error 3 or 4 times.
4) Key in all info + guest info + choose desired luggage weight + inflight food - no error.
5) Cancel hot seat (remember to cancel this - else kena charge RM60!!! RM30 each way) - no error.
6) Payment page - pick direct debit MBB2u - error three times, 4th time OK.

Done!!!

Damn hell alot of stupid errors!

can i bring my deuter futura 42litre up to cabin?
*
If it fits the standard cabin luggage requirement, then can.

QUOTE
8.6  Unchecked Baggage: Passengers (except infants) are allowed two (2) items of baggage to be carried on board.  The items of baggage may be a combination of any two of the following: cabin bag or a laptop bag or a handbag.  The cabin bag shall not exceed the dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm and must not weigh more than 7kg. Such baggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in an enclosed storage compartment in the cabin. Items determined by us to be of excessive weight or size or of an offensive nature will not be permitted on board. Subject to the prevalent applicable local laws and regulations passengers may take liquids on board in their hand luggage provided they meet the following restrictions:

The liquid is in a container with a maximum volume of 100ml
That all liquid containers meeting the maximum volume of 100ml each can be fitted comfortably into a transparent, re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag

The plastic bag should be presented separately at security. You may be required to dispose of liquids which do not meet the above requirements.

I think other forumers have already replied to this question many times. Do check on airline's T&C first before sending in query.

Good question. I wanna know as well.

Edited to add:

I might have a solution. I found this at Seatguru.com and this is what they

Attached Image

If you note at the picture for rows 44 to 51, it's because the airplane's body is like narrowing dy, that's why got 2 seats there.

Of course you can. If you are afraid they might take it away, get your doctor to write a letter that you must have your inhaler with you at all times.

Guys, i will be going hong kong soon. After landing in Hong kong, i wanna do shopping in duty free area for 2-3 hours before collecting my luggage. Is it possible?
*
I suggest you collect your luggage before going for shopping as once they don't see anyone picking up the luggage from the conveyor belt, they'll either just put it on the floor near the conveyor OR send to unclaimed baggage department.

Why not shop at the duty free area before leaving to Malaysia? At least you would've checked your luggage in already then can shop around. Just go to the airport 4-5 hours earlier.

Just among Airasia tickets I guess.

I think its expensive. sad.gif

You should try this when googling.

Go to www.google.com & key in 'Direct Flights from KUL to Guangzhou Direct'.

The search will come out with a + button and you can click on the + button to see which other airline flies direct. If there aren't any direct flights then this search will not have the + button.

At least you know which other airline flies direct and can look at the pricing for comparison. FYI, those airline that flies from Europe/middle east to KUL and then heading elsewhere, will always be cheaper.

For eg refer below.
