But its from my experience la...(during last raya return flights and coming 26th flight)...
i usually travel with ma wife & kid and flying frequently KL-KK....So being cheapsket, ill strategies my booking like these  laugh.gif :

Whenever there is cheap tickets, i just bought and pay the tickets without all other optional services (i.e. advance seat, baggage, meals)...
So if for some reason we couldnt fly on the booked date, i dont lose too much money to forgo the tickets....
Only if confirm, then i will add baggage, meals and advance seat (if necessary)....NOTE:for meal you need to book 48 hours before flight...

I also web check-in immediately after paid the ticket (previously 7 days before flight date) without any in-flight service....Why???
Coz when check-in early, there is high tendency you will be seated next to each other (if you travel more than one person in the same itinerary)....
This kinda necessary when u travel with family & kids... so i will save money for advance seat... tongue.gif
Otherwise your seats will be scattered around (system auto allocate)....

If after self check-in i change/upgrade any in-flight service, i just reprint the boarding pass accordingly....

Ah ok, thanks for the thorough review. I'll keep this in mind.

I'm always so silly to book the luggage, meal and what not because i didn't know i could do it at a later time when AA's server is less busy.

Duh!!

Hi, if i select no checked in luggage prior to purchase, after that I would like to top up the price remain the same one as booking correct? Or got different charges?
*
Everything purchased online remains the same price regardless if you buy together when purchasing tickets or buy after you have purchased the tickets.

Price will only be different when bought upon check in at the physical counter at LCCT.

12 am, 21 sept. Means this midnight, or probably tomorrow midnight.

Malaysian time IS GMT+8.

If they describe it as 00:00 GMT+8 means it's Malaysia/Singapore/Hong Kong/Perth time.

Hi, how to check travel itinerary by booking number for non-member? nowadays do we need to be member in order to book online? what if those ppl who book their flight without login their member id? can they retrieve back their itinerary. The reason why i ask is i wanted to find the itinerary for this particular booking number but AA website asked to login if i want to look for travel itinerary. but when i login my member ID, it can only retrieve my own booking and not others. can anyone help me? thanks...
*
AA have already changed for those who does not have a member ID. I think about 2-3 months back, still can check your booking if you did not purchase via member ID.

anyways, you can always create a member ID and then call up their call centre and get them to tie the booking # to your member ID.

fxcking air asia don't have a fxcking 24hrs call center, can't even ask them a simple question at a time like this.  anyone here can help clear things up?

My mom is ill and can't make the flight on this Sun (17/10).  It's a REGULAR ticket (not promo), so can get a refund or a name change on the ticket or not?

thanks!
*
The T&C for the ticket actually have the info if you can get a refund or change names.

Do open up the PDF file and then click CTRL-F and search for 'Refund'.

Dear travelers,

Any idea if I am about to cancel my flight to Bangkok that is schedule for end of the year December 2011 ? Can I actually change the destination or do anything with the air tickets - currently for 7 pax.

Since the condition in Thailand is getting bad lately ..
*
From what I know, for AA tickets, destination cannot be changed. Only dates and name can. Then again, if it was a promo ticket, you can't even change names. Probably you could change it to maybe April or something.

You should probably wait till about 1-2 weeks prior to your travel date to see if things get better in BKK or not before changing though.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I felt so backdated.

Just found out that KLIA2 is about 43% done and AA & AAX will be flying from there when it is completed in Oct 2012!

Hopefully the taxes will not increase too much from the before though. Otherwise, it's great to be getting a new LCCT!

Hi ...can I ask due to medical reason dr certified that I'm not suitable for travel, can I cancel my AA tickets and get refund?

I don't think that will work.

The most also they refund you the airport tax only.
