well, see leenock rape ganzi wif perfect infestor play?

umm........reaper opening is quite ok in tvp and tvt. just as an opening to scout. eespecially when you want to fast expand without dying to any shinenigans.

tvz reaper is awful unless you manage to sneak a bunker at his expo, then its an auto win because 1 reaper kill hatchery faster then 4 marines i think..

tvt reaper opening to scout, build a CC, then build factory swap wif rax, you can go for blue flame hellion drop on wards or siege expand.

tvp if you scout openent build zealot 1st and feels like a sentry zealot expand, reaper can get alot of free kilss. until your opponent finally gets a stalker out. reapers kill sentry quite fast too. almost as fast as probe kill.

I saw the Final of HD World Tournament (Shrelok and Dimaga) (TvZ)

reaper did very well harass in that match and I think terran shud always start with reaper harass for scouting and early pressure

hopefully? thats sound pessimistic. lol. enjoy ya

We r so off from the this thread discussion. So any terran discussion here? I just watch Ganzi vs Leenock in GSTL where he use reaper. I nvr use reaper b4 as I enter late in sc2. So any strat regards to reaper is workable?

i got a few mass reaper replays, but its lol team games. and thats the reason why reapers were nerfed to oblivion wwwwwwwww

everyone knows reaper got nerfed not because of team game. its the BBS reaper rush that have no counter on certain maps.

i tot in the 1st reply i had said the lowest chance is in TvZ cuz most laddering zergs will go for gas first.

its abit more possible for protoss if terrain is good if opponent made zealot and didnt chronoboost stalker.

the best iis TvT cuz marines are so slow smile.gif

im playing zerg this few days. damn gooding :DDDD with good iunderstanding of the game, you can just mass expand depends on scouting information and put the nail in the coffin wif mass roach banes...or mass muta, just mass X unit and you will win lol

hmm.......i think the problem of terran in TvZ is you should constantly give pressure at their weakest timing window. know when they are teching, when they are droning up. hit them at this time, then they will freak out and make 15 pairs of lings. profit. u dont just poke once, you need to poke a few times throughout the game, make a game plan.

2 rax rush > 15 marine combat shiedl? > 6 blue flame? > banshee? >drops? >viking Ovie hunt?
these are just random thoughts of pokes, they are not arranged accordingly and not all works together. you need a solid build order to make things works.

then of course ultimately you are just buying time for your tank marine death contain. make full use of the fact that you can constantly produce scv and marine. so you dont have the opportunity cost of scv when you are building marine. then poke when they made the wrong choice.

if you do not do the periodic pokes in early game, just rush str8 to marine tank, when you go out wif your 3-6 siege tanks, you will kena surround by x2 army size if your opponent had macroed well enuf. etc, 3 or 4 bases....

BFH and clock are too tech heavy and not beefy enuf for str8 up battles. although hellions do alot of damage, their hp are too short to contribute dmgs...thats why even BFH are good against zealot, pros rarely use them in TvP....malolders are btr. biggrin.gif

but 1 base 1-1-1 set menu all in can catch zergs off guard most of the time, sadly i dont like it. you can get plenty of guides out there with blue flame drop into cloak banshee.

actually the hellion mech build uses blue flame...
u put thor in front while the hellions behind the thors...
this was a major concern for toss (watch sotg a while back and u can see a discussion on it)...

before the energy to thor change, only immortals, chargelots and carriers could answer thors...
250mm negate immortals and blueflame negate the chargelots (great mineral dump as well)...
wit the energy change u can now see HTs which sorta kill off this build...

the idea is to critical mass the reapers and the zerglings wont even reach ur reapers at all being shot down from afar.

and critical massing reapers after the nerfs, is something you can only do in team games where your ally covers for you if zerg go roach or air where ur reaper will be completely useless lol

what if the BFH snipe off the HTs? no matter how you see it, the risk vs reward to do so is so great considering BFH are generally mineral dumps while HTs are precious 150gas units. BFH are fast as hell, while HTs are, lol speed
