I doubt there are any places that can let you test keyboards now. Even Moderno imposed a no testing rule for NIB items because people kept asking for a 'new' set instead. doh.gif

Yea I doubt too. I think we only get to test at roadshows.
I remembered a steelseries roadshow once and I think we get to test keyboards there. Same to razer during pc fair.

But cannot wait laaaaaa. Cherry blue and cherry black switches, gotta choose between black widow and 6gv2.

Comparison:
Cherry Blue switch has lighter switch and make a tick tick sound when typing.
Cherry Black switch has a lil harder switch compare to blue switch and it doesn't have any sound unless you press the key a till the end and hit the bottom to produce a little sound.

Blue switch are better in both, because it do well in both gaming and typing, even in some reviews people rate it 9/10 Typing, 9/10 gaming. while Black switch are only better in gaming because the key is harder and lessen any mistake that when you type a key in fast, nearly key won't be press on mistake. it scores 10/10 Gaming, but in typing, i don't really think most people will like to type on this keyboard because it takes times to getting used to the key feel.

Supposed to be PC Fair's replacement at the end of the year. Not entirely sure.

i feel theres not much difference in the actuation force, afterall its only 10gms difference.
the difference for me is that if u can touch type u can go faster on the blacks than the blues...cos u tend to press the blues til it clicks which is at around 4mm compared to the 2mm travel distance required to activate the key.
now if only some cherry reds would appear... whistling.gif

I think blue clicks around 2mm too. 4mm should be the bottoming out clack.

The say black has no tactile feel or something but is better for gaming. I spend 50 50 on gaming and typing. But I feel typing is more important cause to type faster means more gaming time!
If only the blackwidow looked nicer.

well when i tried the blackwidow, the key definitely activates before the click happens...

anyway, one common complain about the blue is the reset point is higher than activation point.

i think you better decide properly before you grab anything
n52te is quite old product and check it out whether you really like and you need it
if you pay so much for n52te..more recommend you get the coming blackwindow for more purposes
if you looking for macro recording stuff..maybe consider for logitech keyboard..they got plenty of them
