hehehe.... so whoever planning to buy new keyboard, better hold horses and wait for august 18 announcement.....

but I dont think it will arrive in MY that fast..

but still no harm waiting, unless if you are desperately in need of a new KB..

a Razer mechanical keyboard. hahaha.. very hard to imagine.
hopefully this time they can combine looks with performance. if you know what i mean.

I heard some rumor said that if it is keyboard, its cost $400

any name guessing of what the new KB would be called? spiders anyone?

Just think of it as 2 companies addressing different taste. SS has a no-nonsense approach while Razer likes to bling their stuff up.

Actually, both Razer and SS are rock-solid gaming eqs. But, having owned gears from both sides i have to say, 60% of my purchase probability lies with Razer.

Why? They got bling bling mang..

For me, i always feel like i'm buying something more than just a gear with Razer.

EDIT: think of it this way, if you will.

SS = German cars. Purpose built, high performance.

Razer = Lamborghini. They've got the looks that matches the performance.

Besides, Razer is more well known in these here parts. Based on an observation I've done in game in Sudden Attack, 90% of players know what Razer is. However, most do not know what SS is about.

Even after SS released the SA Ikari.. that's quite unexpected, i have to say.

Well what's the use of looks when the performance fails? It's like the same argument: what's the use of graphics when gameplay sucks? IMO both SS and Razer have lousy quality control.

bad experience with both of them, i see..

well, i never had problems with my SS n Razer gears (except the 5H v2 USB's not-so-pleasing sound quality, which i sold right after getting my Megalodon), so.. yeah.

Personally it's all the luck of the draw. 3 of my Razer products failed on me within 1 year. However no problems with SS or Gigabyte gear thus far.

haha ok...i think i better stop now...not like i gonna upgrade my LOGI setups so soon...was targeting my finish verdict 2 come on christmas like that so ya i hope i not 2 long winded posting the previous crap just now

I have quite a few Steelseries and Razer products.
As an avid gamer, I can safely say that I have never experienced ANY problems with ANY of them at all. ever.
I guess I'm lucky.
