got reason.
if its too tall then wont be comfortable to type...and definitely cannot game properly.
7G wrist rest of cos is a perfect fit

I don't like those rests

You spoil the professional look of using an SS board.

Just invest straight for a 7G, get the wrist rest and all, end of story.

If really they are launching a new keyboard then the existing ones must drop in price or they will be long forgotten.

Will definitely try it one day. Thanks for the heads up, the link before that was to direct the browser straight to my post but I think it doesn't work for some people. I've changed it now.

From the phrase "a change is coming" I definitely think that it is a revamp version of a keyboard.

I think the Shift is a bit fancy if you compare to the other SteelSeries products.

hmm shift is like a merge of merc + zboard?

why why why must ppl put keys on the left side...now got multimedia keys that side now...
interestingly the keys says gaming grade quality with lifecycle of 15 million strokes...but its rubberdome...and 4mm travel...pretty ok.

I think SS release this kb to go heads on with Razer. This is their more "bling-bling" keyboard. Maybe they did a review and found some people not buying SS kbs cause of the serious look?
macro keys + changeable keycaps with Zboard. Main point is changeable keycaps.


overall, I think it's okay laa.
design is nice, wrist rest. How come the spacebar split into 2?
