The SS Siberia USB sound card is heavily over-priced for its MEDIOCRE sound reproduction.

There was this one time where i was browsing at viewnet lowyat and i found the SS grip, which costs RM 39.90. Isn't that too expensive for such a simple item?

The razer DA was RM 230+ last year. A few weeks ago i saw it was RM 170 at AllIT.

Well it is a gaming headset and not audiophile quality after all but the sound card is totally pointless if you don't need virtual 7.1 surround sound.

Sometimes, gamers tend to give a lot for their items. It's just that our currency is weaker compared to the USD and Euro.

You're missing the point. I'd happily buy those stuff if it weren't that expensive. Take the logitech MX518 for example. In the US, it costs 50$. if we convert that, we get:

50.00 USD = 157.250 MYR

The average price for the MX518 in lowyat is around RM 80-90.

I want to get the 7H (non-USB) but if i convert the price:

130.00 USD = 408.850 MYR

It's definitely NOT gonna be RM 410 because if we look at the Xai, it's

90.00 USD = 283.050 MYR

while most retailers sell it at RM 350+

u may not realise this, but SS do not deal in USD, rather in euros.

therefore -
7H non-USB.
99 euro = RM413.
this is obviously not here yet, so no idea what the new distro will set it at.

but -
Xai.
80 euro = RM334.
this is obviously pretty close to the RM359 retail that was set by the previous distro inter-asia.

likewise -
5Hv2 non-USB.
80 euro = RM334.
previous retail price set by inter-asia = RM345.

Guys don't be affected by the rumors about the new distributor. I assure you that the change of distributor will bring more good than harm to the whole community. We might even get to see a lot more of SteelSeries exposure in stores soon.

This pad stays firmly to the desk at all times. How do you play the games also it won't run off the desk.

Once they know that they don't have a good placing here, then they know we the consumers are unhappy. Forcing them to drop prices back to the ones that Inter-Asia used.

If you want to know about the dropping of SS by Inter-Asia, that's because a 3rd party was given SS stock without informing Inter-Asia.

And now Play Interactive has come in and taken over the job of distributing SS in Malaysia but with jacked up prices.

Some of the stock is still Inter-Asia's so no worries about those. They will still honor warranty for it until everything has been cleared.
