got a problem i would like to ask, im a proud owner of steelseries 3h headset here, and after 1 year of usage, sumthing happen...
the leather thing on the ear cushion is strating to peeled of slowly n slowly( haiya this is bcoz keep borrowing to my frens). so now the condition on one side almost everything gonna peeled and another one side 1/2 peeled. wanna ask, if i EVER decided to peeled of the whole leather thing on my ear cushion, will it effect ANY sound QUALITY, be it MUSIC, GAMING, or MOVIES? your input will he highly appreciated.

There will be some minor effect.

The leatherette surface has a better sound isolation then the cloth cushion inside it. So after peel it off, more noises will come in and some sound will go out also, but it really tiny different, no big deal also.
*
Basically it's mostly cosmetic damage. It won't be as sealed as before should you peel off the leatherette surface so it will leak sound, not much to be a big problem.

Oya other than that, the cloth cushion and and the leatherette different in term of comfort, the leatherette 1 you will feel colder at your year, better in heat release, some cushion like what on Kave, i really cant't stand for the heat gather there. It is really hot.

nahh.
Leather one feel warmer, and the sweat destroys it. Unless the A/C is turned on.
Cloth, like Orca those is fine. But I prefer those kind of velvet ones icon_idea.gif

sound insulation shouldnt be affected...afterall 4H and 5H are cloth covered.
main difference is that the leatherette one is easier to clean...while if u dont use a cloth covered one after awhile lots of dust going to stick on it tongue.gif

Really, maybe you feel so. Maybe my ear feel different.

hmm.gif

when I start my gaming session, usually I keep shifting the position of my Siberia on my ears. I feel that the synthetic leather is uncomfortable and hot.

If I start with the A/C on, wont have this problem due to the leather covering that is cold nod.gif

LOL. Why not just ask them you replace yours with a new unit since it's so problematic? hmm.gif

what jittering? ur cursor goes crazy?

It doesn't go crazy, it just shakes a little, like when I move it horizontally it will jitter up and down a bit. And even though when I stop moving it will end up at the place I want it to be, it's not ideal for FPS-es. at all.

Added on December 10, 2010, 5:25 pmHey guys, did any of you tried to add another Ikari glide on the original feet? means never take out the old 1, just stick on it.

And another question is, is the original 1 same with the Glide Ikari? Or they are just different like Glide Kinzu and original feet?

If they are just same, I think will get a Glide Dot and and apply to preserve, otherwise just a a new set of Glide Ikari.

The Shift is just a newer and shinier ZBoard if you ask me. And costs twice as much.

Some difference la but just quite unnecessary 1.

Lower key profile better for those people like slim keyboard.
Multiple layer as the name "shift".
