Flashed to R5 last night. Battery seems to last longer than Leedroid 1.7b but might just be a placebo effect. Need to use it for at least a few more days to determine if it's true.

Weather widget is working fine. Have you checked if your mobile network is configured? (set the APN etc.)

Now.. must find a way to remove those pesky system installed apps like amazon MP3 and Wavesecure etc..
*
Well, mine is the stock FroYo ROM from Modaco. I am pretty sure my APN is ok cause i have been using it without any problem. I can even remove the widget, add it back again and it will be able to update the weather successfully. However, after a while, it just shows a blank weather widget, and would not update anymore.

Thanks !  smile.gif  finish download all the files needed..
is there any case when failed to root halfway, make ur phone totally unusable ??
*
Never had the problem using Unrevoked.

I had this problem previously when rooting with them. When i switch to Recovery and plug in the cable to my PC, halfway rooting with unrevoked, a driver message pops up stating i have unrecognise device (i already install the driver earlier and its ok) and all of a sudden, unrevoked stopped. All i did was reinstall the driver and start back again. smile.gif

Btw, i did a battery stats wipe yesterday and it seems i cant charge it to 100% now. Damn. Its stuck at 99% even after 30minutes.

I'm doing the same thing now - it should take 30-60 minutes to become green and your battery will be good to go

How is OpenDesire? 3.04?

Been hesitant to try it since it's not using Sense UI - but I heard it's very good (although everyone says their ROM is superfast, super stable, superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr but end up still got bugs)
*
THe leaked Froyo i used last time by OpenDesire was ok, but like you say, quite buggy. Thats why i shifted to LeeDroid but that was like a battery sucking machine. tongue.gif

Just finish my bump charge. Let see how good this method works tongue.gif

Apparently after i reflash back my Modaco ROM, the Weather widget is still not working. Whenever i go to that widget, its always blank (using the default big weather widget) and i cant even click on the update now button.

Easiest is refer to you box.

Addon : Most 2.1 user reported that once they upgraded to official Froyo, pink tint gone. I can say most probably due to color calibration on Eclair smile.gif
Mine gone too once I'm on Froyo.
*
Not on mine. Pink tint is still there when i surf the HTC website.

Btw, to confirm whether yours is SLCD or AMOLED, this is the description on my box. If its without the AMOLED word, pretty sure its going to be SLCD.

Hmm maybe la..But nevermind la coz I never see AMOLED before and I find this very clear and nice the colors lol..

BTW anyone using matte screen protectors? I heard it dulls the display..wana get it but scared sacrifice too much of the display lol...Any opinion? I'm using the clear one now but seems like kinda dirty(fingerprints and smudges)..
*
Using matte and it really helps out in terms of fingerprint and oilyness. However, i dont really like it. Felt that its dims the display tongue.gif Gonna switch to gloss SP when it arrives and do a comparison smile.gif

Something weird.

Apparently, flash support is only available on the default browser. Its not available on Opera Mini. And when browsing with the default browser, i do not see any pink tint on the HTC website but its still showing pink tint when on Opera Mini. Perharps HTC only tune the color on the default browser instead of fixes tongue.gif

it isn't weird... i guess is the other browsers havnt got the support for flash yet tat's y..
same here, i don't see any pink tink on the HTC website d BUT if i scroll it, i can see.. lol...
it's a good thing anyway...
*
Well, not sure but i thought it was supported natively tongue.gif Even when you browser over to Adobe's site, they only listed the Nexus One as the supported device. Guess i am stuck with the default browser for while now.

Regarding the pink tint, they said its not AMOLED problem but is color calibration problem. But if its color calibration problem, i guess the settings would be on the kernel's / display drivers no? But somehow, the pink tint is still available at all the other browsers that i have tried before - Opera Mini, Dolphin HD. Thus, i believe the fixes are purely on the color adjustment for the default browser. So, its pretty much due to AMOLED.

Anyway, is there even any news on FroYo coming to SEA units soon?

Apparently the bump charge didnt exactly work for me tongue.gif Still getting slightly more than 1 day of battery life for me. FroYo didnt help out either or should i say, i still cant see the significant boost of FroYo, except for Flash capability tongue.gif Perharps i will only start to love it more when more programs support native App2SD.
