lol.. whats wrong with apple stores like epicenter! i heard ppl say they are not carrying any iphone 4 for sale and they onli buy those phones from telcos.. and telcos now are all selling them with contract!

I called Apple Malaysia and spoke to 1 of the fella. He said, I can use American Express to buy the iPhone 4 and ship to singapore. The excuse used was, my son is studying in SG and I am from Malaysia. I would like to buy the phone for my son via online and ship to his house so he can claim warranty if anything goes wrong.

So I just tried to order my iPad camera kit via online store to test my American Express(Amex) and the process when through. I put the billing + shipping add to his house. They send an email regarding the camera kit and ETA is Aug 18. So I will see how it goes.

Bro.. oly American Express? Not others Credit card? I think the point is that they only ship within SG when u purchase it on SG Apple store online.. Same thing like Iphone3GS in HK..

ur amex is original amex or maybank amex? i was thinking of asking my aunts in sg to help me purchase via apple online store using their local CC then ship to their sg address. hopefully by friday, sg apple online store will make it clear whether their online purchased iphone4 is officially unlock or not

Again.. my question is that.. do they really restrict to only SG credit card?

I try American Express because it is the safest for me But the weird thing is, he said I can use ANY malaysian credit card as long as the shipment is within singapore before he put down the phone. I personally have not tried yet. So why don't you make the first move and see how it goes

SG sets are officially unlocked; whether U get it off Apple or the telcos.

Singtel / Starhub / M1 sets are definitely unlocked, you've asked the same question repeatedly...
telco set = contract NOT LOCKED! got it? same like Maxis & Digi here...
Apple Online Store = no contract, NOT LOCKED! but price is higher

One more thing that I am concern is, what if the eta of iPhone 4 ordered via online store is 3 weeks.

It will ruined the purpose of getting it from sg. At least for me--"
