um... Apple Store will be selling outright, problem is only can buy using SG credit card, and deliver to SG address.
EpiCentre and other APR haven't announced which carrier is their partner. |

not for me, cos the name on SG register is their name, so it may cause problems later when warranty / AppleCare.
also RM400 is 20% markup... I would rather get my friends in SG to buy and trust them, rather than some strangers... |

Not confirmed yet... cos my friend's iPhone3G[S] was Singtel set, unlocked ... but she had to sign contract to get it, like our Maxis & DiGi sets.
that's why it says "FOR NOW" ... why doesn't it make sense? the carriers will want people to sign contract... they don't profit from the iPhone anyway... |

the Singaporeans will be queueing up before you, and they don't need to pay for the foreigner's deposit. so unless you can get a way to buy thru the online store, your chances of getting one on launch day are pretty much nil. |

Singtel / Starhub / M1 sets are definitely unlocked, you've asked the same question repeatedly... telco set = contract NOT LOCKED! got it? same like Maxis & Digi here... Apple Online Store = no contract, NOT LOCKED! but price is higher |

if you want it NOW, go buy thru Singtel / Starhub / M1. or get a Singapore friend to order online for you. the only real point of buying Singapore iPhone4, is the ability to AppleCare (2 year warranty) ... no other reason. |

read thru your terms & conditions. Since Singtel / Starhub / M1 can see that you are not using iPhone, they may disconnect your service or charge you additional fees. here on Maxis & Digi, if you use the iPhone plan with other phones, Maxis & Digi reserve the rights to disconnect you or charge you separately. |

look at it from Apple Singapore perspective. they're giving us 2 separate options. 1. buy thru carriers for discounted iPhone. obviously got contract . 2. buy online, no contract, no fuss. if we have no credit card, we're not the target market for iPhone. how do we plan to buy apps? foreigner? wait for your telco to see the light, and make a deal with Apple to get it there. the reason I'm not being polite about this (like some other forumers as well) is that we heard all these complaints in July 2008, July 2009 and now again, the SAME COMPLAINTS in July 2010. its irritating... |
