Desire is 1.5k. As he said 1.3k is REALLY stretching it. Go for the Liquid Metal if you don't mind getting no support. Very nice phone at its price.

If you are keen on getting it, then you can go for it. 600mhz proc. Your choice. But i STRONGLY recommend not to.

DHD: 4.3" 2nd gen 1ghz Qualcomm. TFT.
SGS: 4.0" 1ghz Hummingbird(BEST GPU). S-AMOLED
L-Metal: 3.6" 800mhz 2nd gen Qualcomm, TFT.

O1 has a better processor. O1's proc is 667mhz.

Desire Z has a better GPU(Adreno 205) VS 1.2ghz (Adreno 200). Its your choice for a better gaming experience or being faster. But IMO at that speed it doesn't have a very big difference unless you really multitask.

State your needs. I can't tell you without knowing what you're seeking in a phone.

If you're going for the DiGi plan, if possible, take the SGS/DHD. Or if you don't have the budget, go for A10. Its better than the Aria.

SE Xperia X10i/XT720. Personally X10i would be better with the Gingerbread mod released. Sadly only has dual touch. If you don't mind the limitations, go for the x10i. XT720's camera is one of the best too. Sadly, with the 768mhz proc, i don't see it beating the x10i in any department. All in all, if you want a camera, you should get a DSLR/Digital camera. Not a phone. Learnt my lesson. I was like you too . And a final reminder. Both of these will NOT get official FroYo or Gingerbread. If you wouldn't mind a less capable camera, go for the upcoming Xperia Play a.k.a PSPhone/Zeus. Should have a decent camera considering its a SE and also to be flagship phone for their company.

DHD itself is already a bad choice. Wait for the SGS2. It should be priced at around 2.4-2.6k when released.

Motorola XT720 with 2.2 FroYo. The only QWERTY with a physical and 8mp ++ available now.

C'mon guys don't bash him/her so badly. Androids aren't meant for being camera centered phones. Nokia or other Sony Ericsson phones might be a better choice for you. Moreover, VERY FEW QWERTY phones have 8mp cams. If you want a QWERTY with 8mp, Android is not a choice. And having higher megapixels doesn't mean its better. It depends on the lens.

BTW why would you need a 8mp++ camera anyway. I assume you won't take DSLR pics on the go. Would you?

I'm sure theres a chance there might be 1 or 2 8mp QWERTYs. BTW you can go for Nokia E7. 8mp QWERTY with Amoled Clear black.

DHD's cam might be 8mp. But overall it loses to most Sony Ericsson Android phones or even Motorola's. If you're off the QWERTY only thing, go for the upcoming soon Xperia Arc. Exemor camera Bravia screen. Suitable for photographers. And it comes with Gingerbread. Another choice is the Xperia Neo/Pro which is launching between Q1-Q2. Around May. Pro has a QWERTY and a 8mp cam.

If you read A LOT, then vibrant isn't really a good choice i think. The screen can strain your eyes quite a bit after a while. Get a phone with a bigger screen like the Dell Streak.

Then you can go with the Captivate
