Okay I'm tired browsing around the forums, even digital mall & lowyat and Mid Valley Gardens, to look for the phone that fit me. So far the phone that i would like to use are all not supported under DIGI smart plan.

So guys can anyone of u recommend me a good android phone (support 2.2-2.3)

- kind like a hardcore user
- i hate laggingness (if its very lil that its okay)
- i really prefer QWERTY (means physical keyboard addition..)
- i dont know, anything that an android user must have that the phone capable of?
- most importantly, it support DIGI smart plan so i can access internet anytime.
ahh..forgot to put my budget. below 1.6-1.7k ?

Wow. after going through just one phone review of htc desire z, i got goosebump. O_O its perfect.

Anyway, can Digi Smart Plan support this phone? All i see from their contract are htc desire HD, not htc desire Z >_<

Samsung Galaxy Ace is a very good choice.
It's balanced everywhere, IMO.
It looks like a smaller sized iPhone 4.  tongue.gif

The size is almost same as iPhone4. It's more like a smaller sized Samsung Galaxy S II.

Regular movie watching? If it includes flash content then sorry.. SGAce doesn't support flash. IMO if you have the budget go for Acer Liquid Metal.

But for your convenience, ori set is around 1.9k now.

AP should be lower IMO.

By mid Q2 i guess. AP sets would be priced around 2.8k when launched, and then x10 syndrome kicks in and it'll come to around 2.3k in 1-2 months.

QUOTE(Dovienya @ Mar 13 2011, 02:07 PM)
Hi all,

I need a suggestion for an android-based phone.

1. Brand = nothing specific
2. Budget = as cheap as possible
3. Specs = nothing specific, but battery life should a priority
4. What you need in the phone = My priority is to make data-base call such as skype, checking email, and social sites such as twitter, msn and such.

Battery life is a concern (prefer those that doesnt require charging once every day), connectivity is another concern, and I dont have much budget.

TQ

Samsung ace pricing is getting higher due to supply-demand; any other options that I can consider?

also, is acer liquid metal any good?

in addition, is Wildfire good in comparision? and is Froyo (android 2.2) a "must" in consideration?

Archos or Nook. Your choice. But Archos has a higher clocked proc. They're both around RM1.1k unless you decide to import the nook through our service noticeboard. That will cost around RM900 total if you buy from Ebay official nook store.

Er.. bro those two tabs cant use simcard rite? I might be going for one of Digi's smart plan.

Liquid metal is a solid phone but has a subpar camera.
Wildfire is overpriced. Terrible resolution.

Hi guys,

would like to ask if i am planning to get an android, would it be better to get it by itself or via contract (if contract which)...
for my budget it would be between ace, aria and wildfire where ace is not provided by any telco atm thus pretty uncertain...

and how does android stack up to BB?
i am pretty tempted with BB for its messenger n push tech but android does have the apps etc...

Thanks
