Hi all,

I need a suggestion for an android-based phone.

1. Brand = nothing specific
2. Budget = as cheap as possible
3. Specs = nothing specific, but battery life should a priority
4. What you need in the phone = My priority is to make data-base call such as skype, checking email, and social sites such as twitter, msn and such.

Battery life is a concern (prefer those that doesnt require charging once every day), connectivity is another concern, and I dont have much budget.

TQ

Greetings,

I have 2 phones in mind currently. The LG Optimus One or the Samsung Galaxy 3. For a budget-minded buyer like me, battery life is a main concern. The Optimus One has a GPU and better screen resolution, right? But on the other hand, Samsung has a good track record of being a reliable phone? Please help me decide as both the phones are similarly priced. thanks.

The question is, how cheap do you want it to be? laugh.gif

Touchscreen is everywhere now. And these touchscreen are capacitive (like iPhone's touchscreen)

There is however physical QWERTY and touchscreen.

Desire Z and Mototola Milestone 2 to name a few.

<1k with physical qwerty.

Hmmm..
Hard call there. the Desire Z retails at 1.5k

Thats the bang for your buck choice. (will last 2 years +)

Another choice would be Xperia x10 mini pro.
(i don't really recommend that, unless you are really budget strapped of course)

It's good, but it does not really shine well when taking videos.

Wildfire = terrible resolution
Aria = overpriced

Hmm. Galaxy Ace is a good choice, but the battery does not last that long as you specify (i heard from users)

Most phones will have at least one day battery life IMO.

Samsung Galaxy Ace is a very good choice.
It's balanced everywhere, IMO.
It looks like a smaller sized iPhone 4. tongue.gif

I'm planning to get an Android phone and I've been looking at HTCs and Sony Ericsson. Maybe Desire S when it comes out or Experia Play.

What I'm wondering is why a lot of people are saying that SE phones should be avoided. What's the reason?

And should I consider getting a Samsung? What are the differences between Samsung and HTC?

Okay I'm tired browsing around the forums, even digital mall & lowyat and Mid Valley Gardens, to look for the phone that fit me. So far the phone that i would like to use are all not supported under DIGI smart plan.

So guys can anyone of u recommend me a good android phone (support 2.2-2.3)

- kind like a hardcore user
- i hate laggingness (if its very lil that its okay)
- i really prefer QWERTY (means physical keyboard addition..)
- i dont know, anything that an android user must have that the phone capable of?
- most importantly, it support DIGI smart plan so i can access internet anytime.

ahh..forgot to put my budget. below 1.6-1.7k ?
