It's open source and user are free to customize according to their like.
HTC Desire can last me 2 days with moderate use of GPS / foursquare / fb / and also market browsing.
Galaxy S if you're into gaming. Hummingbird GPU so much better than Desire.
It's the processor.
Dual booting but it isn't stable yet and drain battery too
I will opt for Legend. Can root and have custom ROM. Look at XDA forum.

Hey there people. I need some advices regarding the phone HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S.
I have read reviews about these 2 phones and both of them are very good. As for price factor they aren't an issue however i read some reviews that Galaxy S lags abit? can anyone clarify that thanks. I feel the only thing that seperates them is the touchwiz and sense ui but are they that different significantly?

look at the first page? this two phones are always being asked to compare laugh.gif

if you're looking for a gaming phone, go Galaxy S, otherwise Desire, just IMO.

1. Brand. Prioritizing HTC Wildfire if not HTC Legend / Samsung Wave* (Powerful Specs) / Motorola Milestone / Sony Ericsson X10
2. Budget. If HTC Wildfire would fulfil my requirements, RM1.1k, if not RM1.5k+/-
3. Specs. Upgradeable to Froyo Android 2.2

4. What you need in the phone - Decent Battery Life on 3.5G Internet Surfing, Is The Default Browser Can Play Facebook Games?, (Stucks In Jam For 3 hours x 2 per day) Flash Lite or Flash 9? Voice Navigation GPS *Preferablly Free If Can, If No I Can Buy If There's Any, Saw Alots Great Games on Android But They Mostly Use Droid, Desire. What about Wildfire? SetCpu on Wildfire Anyone Tried It? Camera, [Is It Noticeable Noise In Indoor Such As Fluoroscent Lights]? Video Quality Recording? Video Playbacks, lags? <SD , HD>? Youtube?

Maybe This Is The Golden Question. Should I Forgo My Current Nokia 5800 XM for Wildfire?

That's for now. I would appreciate some one would enlighten me.

OK I'm thinking of getting an Android phone. This'll be my first Android as I have been using Nokia all along and my E71 is starting to get cranky.

1. Brand - Doesn't matter (don't really know!)
2. Budget - Not too worried smile.gif
3. Specs - The larger the screen, the better.
4. I don't care too much about looks. I use my phone for email, web browsing (flash support would be nice). It should have a camera but I don't care if it's not super good. Keyboard - never tried touch screen keyboard but I'm willing to try. A good calendar / diary and GPS navigation is a must. Oh, and easy data transfer from my E71 to the new phone would be very convenient.

Thanks guys.

Oh yeah I don't know how it works, but I'd rather not have to subscribe to any of those special phone-specific packages or switch phone providers (I'm on Digi at the moment). I'm already subscribed to an unlimited data package with Digi and don't intend to change.

I am using HTC Desire, it is quite good

Samsung Galaxy S has better and bigger screen, if that what you're looking for. But I personally am never a fan of TouchWiz...

Seems like Samsung Galaxy S is the best now... if you're not worried about the price

HTC Wildfire resolution is too low, doesn't make much sense for Android. And why not consider Legend instead (the newer version of Hero?)

Frankly speaking, i doubt nowaday phone manufacturers will produce a phone with support last for 2 years or more since the competition so drastically, every manufacturer like to compete each other produc high spec phone to attract buyers. As you can see HTC going to release even high spec model soon as well as Samsung.

If your main priority to upgrade to Froyo, no doubt, HTC Wildfire will be better than Legend.
SE x10 still running on Donut (1.6)
Milestone : Heard the FroYo is near but no idea when.
