I'm getting tired of each and every new thread asking for recommendation be it phone, QWERTY keyboard and etc.

Use this thread and follow format below and I guess most members can help up in answering it.

CODE

To request recommendation, what u need to post:

1. Brand.
2. Budget.
3. Specs.
4. What you need in the phone (Sense UI ? Touch Witz ?)

Please help to compile the format as I might miss out something.

p/s : Mod, if possible please pin the thread and use this thread as one and only phone recommendation thread smile.gif

I think that's TS' intention

Good idea, I've pinned it to reduce redundant threads flying around

KTCY: I've merged with the previous topic, I hope you don't mind smile.gif

Hi guys I'm stuck choosing between HTC Wildfire and SE Xperia X10 Mini.
I love the x10 looks but wildfire has many applications. But then I may not use it. Budget around RM11XX.

Thank you :3

Wildfire anytime. SE still running on Donut

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Jul 28 2010, 10:49 AM)
How about Legend and Wildfire? Which is more worth the money?
*
Wildfire if you can compensate a little small screen for it smile.gif

Should I go for Android since I already sell my Nokia E72.
What is the good thing in Android?
*
It's open source and user are free to customize according to their like.

QUOTE(monked @ Jul 31 2010, 10:16 PM)
is there any android phone which is better den iphone in terms of spec( not the OS)  and the battery can last for 2 day with moderate use? =/
*
HTC Desire can last me 2 days with moderate use of GPS / foursquare / fb / and also market browsing.

QUOTE(Kenny83 @ Aug 1 2010, 04:37 PM)
Samsung Galaxy S or HTC Desire! Pls give me suggestion! Budget below RM2500
*
Galaxy S if you're into gaming. Hummingbird GPU so much better than Desire.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Aug 1 2010, 10:52 PM)
Seems like Samsung Galaxy S is a lot smoother and with its bigger screen wins.
*
It's the processor.

QUOTE(peeyaw @ Aug 2 2010, 12:38 AM)

1. Brand. Prioritizing HTC Wildfire if not HTC Legend / Samsung Wave* (Powerful Specs) / Motorola Milestone / Sony Ericsson X10
2. Budget. If HTC Wildfire would fulfil my requirements, RM1.1k, if not RM1.5k+/-
3. Specs. Upgradeable to Froyo Android 2.2

4. What you need in the phone - Decent Battery Life on 3.5G Internet Surfing, Is The Default Browser Can Play Facebook Games?, (Stucks In Jam For 3 hours x 2 per day) Flash Lite or Flash 9? Voice Navigation GPS *Preferablly Free If Can, If No I Can Buy If There's Any, Saw Alots Great Games on Android But They Mostly Use Droid, Desire. What about Wildfire? SetCpu on Wildfire Anyone Tried It? Camera, [Is It Noticeable Noise In Indoor Such As Fluoroscent Lights]? Video Quality Recording? Video Playbacks, lags? <SD , HD>? Youtube?

Maybe This Is The Golden Question. Should I Forgo My Current Nokia 5800 XM for Wildfire?

That's for now. I would appreciate some one would enlighten me.
*
If your main priority to upgrade to Froyo, no doubt, HTC Wildfire will be better than Legend.
SE x10 still running on Donut (1.6)
Milestone : Heard the FroYo is near but no idea when.

1. Brand. (prefer HTC, or samsung)
2. Budget. (1.5k-1.8k)
3. Specs. (1G Processor / Latest Android OS Ver / comfortable screen size)
4. What you need in the phone (look nice)
im confusing for taking htc legend/desire or samsung galaxy s.

htc legend giving me nice design, but the spec is lower.
htc desire spec high, but the design ok-ok.
galaxy s high spec n design nice, but price high. but personally prefer htc.

got any others recommendation?
im looking for subscribe package with credit card.
*
1.8k budget you can probably get HTC Desire AP Set.

QUOTE(Alvinleong @ Aug 6 2010, 02:25 PM)
OK I'm thinking of getting an Android phone.  This'll be my first Android as I have been using Nokia all along and my E71 is starting to get cranky.

1. Brand - Doesn't matter (don't really know!)
2. Budget - Not too worried smile.gif
3. Specs - The larger the screen, the better.
4. I don't care too much about looks.  I use my phone for email, web browsing (flash support would be nice).  It should have a camera but I don't care if it's not super good.  Keyboard - never tried touch screen keyboard but I'm willing to try.  A good calendar / diary and GPS navigation is a must.  Oh, and easy data transfer from my E71 to the new phone would be very convenient.

Thanks guys.

Oh yeah I don't know how it works, but I'd rather not have to subscribe to any of those special phone-specific packages or switch phone providers (I'm on Digi at the moment).  I'm already subscribed to an unlimited data package with Digi and don't intend to change.
*
The larger the screen, the better ? No doubt Samsung Galaxy S

Hi .. am thinking of getting an Android phone, new in Android though ...

1. Brand : HTC or Sony Ericsson
2. Budget : No problem
3. Specs : Larger Screen for net surfing
4. What you need in the phone : Decent Battery Life, good for web browsing and support Flash, good for internet communicating, i.e MSN, YM or SKype, can connect via WiFi or 3.5G Data SIM, Optional only : GPS

Many thanx.
*
No problem for budget ? HTC Desire, no doubt. SE android still running on Donut.

2 years ? I doubt any phone can last that long.
