Hi guys, I just bought a U-Mobile starter pack because i would like to test the speed of the connection here in my area. I'm not sure if anyone faced this before, when i load the sim card into my MAXIS BB Modem, it require me to enter a code to unlock the data card, I tried entering the SIM card's PUK code but it still fails anyone know why?

your modem is sim locked

if UM sim card , the default pin is 1234

yeah slow.. dunno y..

Speed test in Batu Gajah, Perak (Kampong Pisang, to be exact - not an officially covered area). Impressive, but result was attained by using external 16dBi antenna...

howdy.. if my place is outside of coverage area what kind of speed am i looking at if i subscribe to this? Useable? Currently using digi and not really happy with it.

In that case you can only use the 2G speed which is about 5.6kb/s like that if i am not mistaken.

ya I'm getting slow speed too, and can't access u mobile website..

another thing is i cant watch astro's ESPN Player online anymore cuz I'm detected as "outside malaysia" but I'm actually in malaysia

the line is pretty unstable and slow after u mobile started to use the new ip address.......

I thought restarting the modem would solve the problem?

i have tested them.....u still unable to load u mobile homepage even u restart the modem......other ISP is able to load the page.....things has changed when they started using the new ip
