@Josh_M: What I can say is just get the OB. Even at RM120 I think it's well worth it.
And some bad news from the service center. Anybody saw anyone selling original set N900s for an okay price over at garage sales?
Because my N900 has just been certified by NCC as completely, irreparably and irreversibly dead - something that deeply saddens me right now,
I might have been one of the first people to completely kill an N900 from overuse, which is just not cool.
impossible. unless you were locking it @ 1150Mhz 24x7. ask them to define irreparable....
dude, if i remember correctly, your n900 was just stuck in the boot screen... and never loads the desktop.
its like your computer loads windows halfway, and at the starting windows screen just gets stuck there, how that makes it irreparable and irreversible.
it just needs a hard flashing, that clears the ROM entirely and restore the FIASCO image. it might require some special flashing equipment but saying its impossible is just plain stupid.
even if your eMMC got burned, it would and should still work fine after replacing eMMC > which is removable in n900.

sorry, eMMC uses BGA (ball-grid-array) not removable. but then, Nokia Care saying its totally dead is just plain stupid.
whats the point in getting Zitron Warranty anyway... "sorry sir, its completely dead and we cant repair it (cos we dont know shit)"
