QUOTE(nas @ Jul 19 2010, 10:39 AM) Just got my casing today from Zenus. Got the Orange + Black combo. hi bro...was thinking about buying like yours...http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo...er=zenus+galaxy I'm very happy with the purchase and relieved at the same time now that my phone has a proper case. Good points: + The quality is simply very good. + Everything fits perfectly and no loose ends. The phone is firmly held at its place. + Feels solid in my hands. + Does not add any considerable weight although everything now is slightly thicker. But I wouldn't mind for the extra protection it provides. + Material is top-grade. Even has the leather smell. + Does not intrude in anyway when unfold. You may just leave the front cover hanging or fold it all the way back. + Classy looks. + Front screen is protected by the cover which has soft material inside. An extra plus for me over the silicon case with the screen exposed. Minor complaints: - The seller I purchased from does not include screen protector and lanyard. I've read that some people got these when purchased from other sellers. - There's some areas which are still exposed but not much. You can see the exposed areas through the pics from the link above. Overall a good buy even though a tad expensive compared with other casing slowly coming out in the market but you get a quality case. If the seller had included the SP and the lanyard, then it would be quite a deal. Hope this little feedback will help someone in making their decisions. do u use the credit card? i really want to buy the black n orange one...how long does it take to reach you? does yours the flip top or open to the left like a book? damn no casing is really make me afraid of breaking it when dropped off. thanks man |

QUOTE(RoMa_84 @ Jul 19 2010, 12:13 AM) Just to confirm. SGS is supposed to be able to play all kind of videos except RMVB right? I can't seem to play .mkv. I'm using the default player. Any particular reason? Btw i'm using the default player. can use rock player......Added on July 19, 2010, 9:26 pm QUOTE(dannyng @ Jul 19 2010, 09:27 AM) Dear all SGS, samsung has promised to gave free upgrade to 2.2I'm very new to android world (coming from WM6.5, HTC HD) and have learned a lot from this forum (treat V1 & V2). I would like thanks ppl like hihihehe, alfredtwl etc for providing so many info on SGS. I plan to buy SGS this week and would like to ask few question; 1) When android 2.2 (Froyo) is out, if Samsung does not official upgrade SGS to android 2.2, can we just download and install Froyo ourself (maybe Touchwiz3.0 may be over written, correct me if I'm wrong)? 2) understand that before we can install custom ROM to android, we need to root the os, for Modoca R2, is it we no need to root the OS as the rooting is built into the custom ROM? 3) If i use ADB to root, I understand all the step except step 3 'Enter Code adb reboot recovery', where do I type in the 'adb reboot recovery'? Thanks in advance, Cheers, Danny Added on July 19, 2010, 9:26 pm QUOTE(daruma @ Jul 19 2010, 09:26 AM) some questions. can use voice navigator GPS.........1. is this phone got voice navigator GPS? 2. is it can read PDF files? if can batt last how long for reading pdf? but is based on google....... not bad.... i tried it alreadu This post has been edited by fongwei: Jul 19 2010, 09:26 PM |

QUOTE(chewlee @ Jul 19 2010, 11:02 AM) i get a portable rechargeable speaker. in the E-Curve.....FYI, the will be another roadshow, either lowyat or the curve. or Cinneleisure on 22/7/2010 onwards for 4 days... the promoter told me yesterday as i bought my SGS in IKANO POWER CENTER Added on July 19, 2010, 9:38 pm QUOTE(bunnymaker @ Jul 19 2010, 12:54 PM) I called Maxis to enquire about any further roadshows, but they said no more for West Coast, only left East Coast, Sabah & Sarawak only. But one guy told me that now their current promotion is discount on Android casing for the phone, but he doesn't seem to know the details. Can anyone shed some light? is cheaper......TIA Added on July 19, 2010, 12:56 pm I think Samsung will start selling in a few months, because I got Samsung's newsletter for the Samsung Galaxy S Life competition, have to make a video, 3 SGS to be won. In the brochure, the RRP is also RM2599, so get the phone from Maxis + data plan still cheaper than buying from Samsung/other sellers + data plan, unless one doesn't want the data plan, of course. cause penalty is just RM500.. (if u wanna to terminate the contract) so RM1699 + RM500 = RM2199.... still cheaper than outside that cost about RM2300.... Added on July 19, 2010, 9:38 pm QUOTE(gzero @ Jul 19 2010, 01:01 PM) Any smartphone without data plan nowadays are pretty much useless imo, you cant do anything with it. Just a waste, might as well use nokia 1200 is cheaper......Question, if you choose extra RM50 for data plan, and get it at RM900 cheaper than RRP, isn't it still worth it? After 1 year of using, u only pay extra 12x50=RM600 for the data plan, and the overall price of the phione is still cheaper than RRP. cause penalty is just RM500.. (if u wanna to terminate the contract) so RM1699 + RM500 = RM2199.... still cheaper than outside that cost about RM2300.... This post has been edited by fongwei: Jul 19 2010, 09:38 PM |

I bought my 16gb unit from a maxis centre for 2599. Am on digi smart plan package. The default video player plays any mkv up to 720p with ac3 audio (not dts).
With Rockplayer, i can even play RMVB videos smoothly. I've rooted my phone and its running jg5 firmware now, much better than the original Rom. |
