height ?
what height is at 3mm n 6mm ? doesnt really matter i think, too small difference . dun need to think so deep . Just do some research about FPI = Fins Per Inch, Dual loop dual pass, things like that . U'll get rough view of how it affects the performance of radiator. |

in general yes .
but different fan produce different static pressure . having faster fan not necessarily means better result . u have to take notes about decibel level, what chips to be cooled and stuffs . |

u can put 9 12 15 if u want to stack them up . its just whether or not the configuration gives any benefit or not . but push n pull config is definitely the best choice, if u have the space for it . |

is it important to add clamp to normal g1/4 fitting by 655 pump pressure?

just for safe side, cause the wall is not small enuf to hold much pressure .
unless u use 7/16 tube, then clamp is unnecessary . just my 2 cents . |

Nice. I didn't know the last pcie slot can still fit a card. Now that I looked carefully, it seems that's possible!

a) res > pump > CPU >radiator >res
b) res > pump > radiator > cpu > res which one is better? after sketching, i think b) give better tubing distribution. any input? |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 11 2011, 10:24 PM) Nice. I didn't know the last pcie slot can still fit a card. Now that I looked carefully, it seems that's possible! yaya the last PCIEX4 can put a sound card or revodriveBut it's not possible with EK bridge bcoz the FC link will block part of the card. that's why i change back to bits crystal tube. QUOTE(Dennos @ Sep 11 2011, 10:36 PM) a) res > pump > CPU >radiator >res tubing length depends on where u put the parts.b) res > pump > radiator > cpu > res which one is better? after sketching, i think b) give better tubing distribution. any input? performance wise, it's the same This post has been edited by owikh84: Sep 11 2011, 11:13 PM |

Nah it's not exactly the same. B would be "slightly" better. This whole water reaching equilibrium thing has been misunderstood. The water will hit equilibrium in due time, but there will still be hot and cold spots in the loop. B is better since pump's heat would be reduced before hitting the CPU. Since it also gives you better tubing route, it's a no brainer not to go with B.
Added on September 11, 2011, 11:23 pmOh there's still one issue with putting a card on the last slot, you pretty much have to drain the whole system to remove that card if anything goes wrong. This post has been edited by AlamakLor: Sep 11 2011, 11:23 PM |

The only time it is not an equilibrium thing is when u hv the worst flow in the world. I don't hv problem removing my sound card since the PCIEx4 slot is small, short and without lock. There's still a clearance between the sound card & the compression fitting/stopper. This post has been edited by owikh84: Sep 12 2011, 12:16 AM |

In the picture it looks really tight, you sure there's enough clearance to remove it? If that's confirmed, I'd find ways to make use of the slot
