Yup, thats right, I'm from imu as well. Again, glad to be here, can't tell you how much i really do appreciate all the assistance.

And I found 2 interesting things to note. There was a tweak available for being able to use your mp3's as ringtones even while they are in the Storage card, this tweak and more can be found here.

I've already tried the tweak and it did work for me while i was using the 1.11rom, however after updating to the 1.12 rom I've found that the tweak no longer works and instead does mess up your ability to use any mp3's as ringtone despite copying the file to your \windows\Rings\ folder. I guess with the new rom, not all the old tweaks work anymore. A note to all : please back up your rom before you edit anything.

secondly, if anyof you are interested in reseting your incoming/outgoing calls in device information, it can be done, and its found here, you just have to adjust your clock while you are either receiving/dailing a call.

I'm very happy with my mini... honestly I hate the alarm and it's ringtone, but I really love surfing net from my mini using bluetooth...

not to worry. Ringtone and alarm tones all can be changed to WM5 ones... which sounds a bit better....

yup i heard it somewhere the wm5 tones ... but still i like to customize mine

current ringtone : Malaysianisme (ending part ... got malay,chinese & tamil all in one ... kita kan rakya malaysia maa )

sms : my daughter's "U Got SMS" tone

Im actually using Ringo which allows for mp3 ringtone... what Im complaining is the soft sound n poor vibrate... and also soft voice of the receipient...

Your standard set cannot use MP3 as ringtone and have to use an external program? Thats sad....I've been hearing some units that can and some cannot. Lucky I was the former.....

WM5 Tones I added were only for the notifications like activesync,reminders and Connected to Networks...

How to get the WM5 tones? Btw I thought the ability to use MP3s for ringtone is by getting a patch which tweaks the registry to allow an additional "Add as Ringtone" option in the pop up list? Heard of it b4...

Yeah. That patch was a while back. But what Im concerned is that some batches NEED the patch in order to use Mp3s as ringtones and some(Mine) doesn't and can be used out of the box.....

As for the WM5 Tones, you'll have to check mypdacafe forum on that or the earlier pages(1st quarter) of this thread......if I remember correctly, someone posted it here last year.....

yup mine too dont need that patch after 1.11 rom ... the early rom need the patch though ...

Oh cool. Mine was preloaded with the 1.11 ROM so I guess mine was the later batch when I bought it early last year......

xda2 as in xda2 mini aka magician ??? if so can use this rom if it is xda2s or xda2i cannot

so meaning XDA2 mini and the XDA2 (non mini but bulky) shares the same nick of magician..........so it can use tat rom

but XDA2 can be moded into WM5 firmware rite??

actually this xda2 stand alone without upgrading to WM5 is ady good enough fr the sw point of view...........only tat its too bulky to carry in my jean pocket. kalau jean londeh tak apa la.............
tats why i din sell it until now.....the plus point is tat it hav a big screen which is good for reading ebook and movies on the go.........
is there a dedicated thread here for this bulky xda2?
