Well, to be honest, the keys on Android is closer than on Iphone. Why no problem?
It really depends on the type of Android phone you are using. Most of them are using Desire, Nexus One, Galaxy S which features at least 3.7" screen which should solve that. Im using Legend for the 1st month. I have to say it looks spacious enough but I do get wrong keys all the time. The Iphone have a much larger screen on top of wider space between two keys. Its subjective, but I was really annoyed at first but the predictive text saves the day. It was minimal unless you got 3.2" Android phone. I still get wrong keys on Iphone (maybe becos Im used to using stylus with my 5800) but not as much as I did with Legend. Its getting better now. I remember on first week with Legend, the key I used the most is the back button. LOL... Imagine using more of back button when typing a long comment like this on Legend. Kinda sucks but its getting better. I like swype, but hate the speed and it totally kill pinch n zoom.

I think it's more like everyone vs the lone airhead.

Paper writing huh? I think I will wait till I saw Iphone 4 first. Bumping up resolution is good for movies and games but for fonts, I will have to see that first hand. Fonts are weird. Just like our LCD. If you put them on native resolution, it look sharp edge but when you feel they are hard to read and zoom it, they look awful. Thats why Im holding back my judgement.

As for the sunlight, I dont know. But honestly I dont think I will be too interested to know at all. Its not that important. ALL of them are hard to see under direct sun. It does not matter because I think I will look at it later under a shade than to be standing under the hot sun looking for something that I can barely see. I just think that I might add something here which make you happier. I barely see anything at all with my Legend under the hot sun at 4pm, the first and last time I ever tried. Under a shade of hot sun, no problem. I wont be standing under the hot sun to read my sms, that would make me look like idiots.

Ah, and the touches, Iphone is more sensitive. Would I say easier, YES (You like that huh?). Cos I never get used to Iphone (never own one, just play with some), it was not a problem to me. As for swipes, I think unable to compare, cos Iphone are page base which requires swipe and most of Android is based on kinetic scrolling unless you have LauncherPro. As for Sense, I like it. You dont need to swipe across like Iphone did. There is a kinetic in it when you swipe fast, it just turn over easily or you can swipe it slowly but having to move your fingers further. I like it but cant really say which is better. Initially I prefer Iphone page based menu but after using Android, I think its beginning to feel okay with it because the app are sorted alphabetically. Apple menu are not sorted so that why I think page base work better for them. The most stupid is Nokia 5800. Menu aint sorted but with kinetic scrolling. Really hard to use at times.

that's your own preference of "normal person", And what makes you think that we use a touchphone for the sake of it's keyboard? This thread was originally started so that iPhone and it's rival android os phone user could share their experience and timately letting the thread master decide which os is better based on his preferences. You're just being immature and obviously wanted to start a flame war in here, now gfto!

I think all of you should ignore these kentang chap. It is so obvious he is a diehard Apple iphone chap. He is so brainwashed that nothing is better than iPhone. The more I read his comments the more I pity his mentality. And I am in a good position to say this cos I also have iphone 3GS and had been using the series since the first 2G 8GB model.

Kentang love for the iphone is all due to his NEEDS which he feel the iphone meet it very well BUT he forgot one important thing - not everyone has same needs as him

I am a good example ; repeatedly and repeatedly I have said in this forum, I still rate the iphone 3GS last compared to my Nexus and HTC HD2. Not that the iPhone 3GS is not good, its features DO NOT meet my needs as well as the Nexus/HD2.

I have been using smartphones since the day it was available, OMG about 15+ years ago till now and AGAIN I wish to say there is NEVER a BEST smartphone. The best smartphone is the one which satisfy you most and meet your needs NOT your wants. Maybe the new iPhone 4 will meet my needs better - who knows until I get my hands onto it. But based on its features, I doubt so, perhaps will be my number 2. I'll tell you after I get it end this month

If purely by sales figure, I guess most ppl will say iPhone wins... But is that the real figure, or is it just another marketing strategies to claim that iPhone do sell that many...?

My expensive hobby. My main phone is now the Nexus ; the HD2 i use only now for Ebook reading ( excellent , no platform can match it ) and the ocassional GPS Garmin. the iPhone only when I am on flight for video podcasts and listen audio books ( these are iphone strengths but need iTunes to manage it ). Can say I have the best of all platforms with me. My Nokia E71 just given away to my son - would say is the best keyboard phone I have ever used.

I have also use a wide variety of notebooks but I'd said when come to OS, Apple Mac OSX is really good and I'll not hesitate to recommend. However sad to say, I'll not say such for their iPhone . I still use Windows just because I need it to flash my HD2 and my previous windows mobile phones. Other than this purpose, it is not used .

I bought the iPAD just as an old man's toy and I'll never recommend it if you think this can replace even a netbook. It is just like buying a BMW but instead you have a kancil engine.

all along i've maintained dat android serves a 'special' group of ppl who is think and act different from most other ppl.
but for the majority of ppl, there is iPhone.
so far i've refrained from discussing in-depth specs with techno-geeks simply bcoz once they started, they like to go on and on...

for instance they like to say super amoled is great for viewing videos. but who wld wanna watch a movie on a screen so small? even de normal mtv also difficult.
only geeks who like to show off wld enjoy demo-ing to either themselves or other ppl, juz for de sake of demo-ing.
not practical i wld say.

and android geeks wld love to talk abt how customizable their phone is (chge themes-lar, fonts, etc.).
the only reason why anyone wld customize it is bcoz it is so good as the iPhone.
remember, apple has a large group of smart ppl dedicated to develop the hardware and software to provide a handphone that is the best on the planet.
only apple is able to do it, with their creative culture set up by Mr. Steve Jobs.

on the other hand, google juz throws the android at a bunch of geeks and watch them go wild.
how can they ever match apple?
even big company like htc (taiwanese oem maker), samsung (home appliance maker), motorola (failed handphone company) can even fight with apple?

in conclusion, the life u lead is abt choices, if u love android, i have never insulted ur choice.
if u love iphone, all i'm saying that ...well its a choice u will never ever regret.

Honestly, i was an Apple fan, i 1st use iPod Nano and i loved it, then i get an iPhone 3G even love it, then i upgraded it to iPhone 3Gs with DiGi plan. I tot i would love it so much. can we browse the website from android device with full desktop version instead of everytime trigger into mobile version of the site ...
for example ... facebook.com will lead to mobile.facebook.com or there is a setting for this?

2) type about:debug in the address bar and press go
3) Click the phone "menu" key
4) Choose "More" then "Setting"
5) Scroll down until you see "UAString", tap that and a pop-up will appear
6) Choose "desktop"
