First of all, im sorry if there is another topic similar to this. Pls advise or move to according thread.
Running of Android made me tempting with HTC Desire (Linux kernel) but an Iphone with Unix kernel too. Both average quite stable. But based on your experience to those just changed to HTC, why changed to HTC (Android base) Software friendly how?

Android FTW! 'nuff said Bro, you're asking in Android's board, you're likely to get response biased towards Android Well, it won't be biased anyway..Coz Android is the best anyway.. My suggestion? You seem knowledgable in UNIX systems, try getting the HTC Desire.. My challenge? See if you can switch to iPhone after that Oh, and btw, we have our own Malaysian version compiled kernel for Nexus One..That's how interesting Android is.. ...Ever heard of iPhone's kernel made in Malaysia?

i think iphone is just for ppl that wanna have fun n don mind customizing their phone.
android is just the type of phone that enable u to do all the customization. you can make your phone totally diff from others. now that google is going to launch(or already launched?) the software that enable ppl to make apps even without the knowledge of programming. you can simply create any simple apps for your own.

The amount of money you pay for an iPhone, you might regret once you realize how un-customizable it is.
And if you like Linux, forget about the iPhone. You will have a hell of a time transferring files because iPhones need iTunes installed on a machine before it can transfer anything. Whereas Android phones come with SDCards which are just detected as normal USB disks.
The only real advantage of the iPhone is it's huge app store and generally better-quality apps.
