YUp.. One of my friend from sarawak....
He's driving "Ninja King" the Lexus LX430 with ARB bull bar in the front... when he's drunken... he drove at the night... he is blur and can't see.... then accident happened..... When he woke up, his car is collided with the "Road making car" the big steel wheel one..... His ARB Bar is only fully knocked into.... his life is safe and his car also in very good condition.... After the incident, he always like to install ARB bar into all his 4x4 vehicle.... but expensive... he said it's worth..... coz very safe... |

Did anyone see the new Isuzu D-Max 4x2. Cost around RM67K. Is is a 2500cc displacement.
Full tank of 76 litre goes for 1400km. That is super fuel consumption. Minus stuff like ABS, EDB, do you think it is ok to get as a budget vehicle. Can't afford a 4x4 pickup, but at least it is better and cheaper than a normal car. Just wanna know, anyone you guys who bought your 4x4, have you gone off road before. Or did any of you engage full 4x4 all the time or mostly drive 4x2. I do know the 4x2 by Isuzu D-Max has its back suspension softer, comparable to a car. So I am wondering will a 4x2 pickup do ok most of the time This post has been edited by dchk: Dec 1 2005, 11:15 PM |

advertisement??? The advertisement always says this and that car is low FC.... but we will never get this one... Unless you really try it by your self.... then, it's really a very great Fuel Saver.... QUOTE(dchk @ Dec 1 2005, 11:13 PM) Did anyone see the new Isuzu D-Max 4x2. Cost around RM67K. QUOTE(dchk @ Dec 1 2005, 11:13 PM) Did anyone see the new Isuzu D-Max 4x2. Cost around RM67K. Is is a 2500cc displacement. I've seen the D-max and it looks quite ok...As a hilux owner, of course I'll be biased to say that the rear seat is more cramp compared to the hilux. But since road tax would be only rm1k plus per annum (green engine) and the still low price of diesel, it'll be a good buy. Full tank of 76 litre goes for 1400km. That is super fuel consumption. So I am wondering will a 4x2 pickup do ok most of the time The only drawback about no ABS is that the car would tend to have less braking ability since u must consider the momentum of such a big truck. U can try the older Ford Ranger models which has no ABS and u'll get what I'm saying. I take mine for off-road sometimes, especially on tin mining roads in kampar area. The most I'll go is 4 high and its very rare to use 4 low unless ur planning to go to logging areas or the deep jungle. U can't compare a 4x4 suspension to a car especially pickups...it'll be bouncier but then its not that unbearable if u drive in KL most of the time. |

Coz, they can use travel this far just because they travelled under certain guidelines that may have a optimum FC. They must have specific tyre-air pressure, specific rev limit for the driver, specific km/h..... and lots more factor that may affect the FC.... They might be maintaining the speed of 90km/h all round in the highway to maintain best FC. If you wanna get good FC... then, follow thier way..... Like Proton Gen.2 written in a magazine that with current fuel prices.... Gen.2 Manual can go from KL - IPOH for just RM 12 petrol...... it's unbelieable..... That's why they use certain guideline to get a best FC.... |

i found that when hilux engine idle(with aircond is on) for long time it will consume alots of diesel
usually my half tank can go for 400Km city driving but now i get only 300KM for half tank and the idle time is about one hour time |
