The battle is not as great as the book but I enjoyed it.
Guess we can't ask for too much with TV budget and limited running time.
Some battle scenes meet expectation while others just simply missing.
Now, I can't wait to see the house of undying.

Why you guys always like to compare the book with the tv product? Totally different medium lah...

also in the book what you visualize is your own interpretation...everyone visualizes it differently...heck, some of us don't even visualize tongue.gif

so yeah...forget the books for now and just enjoy something great on tally now!!

btw - for a tv production, ep 9 is EPIC! Wayy better than hundreds of medieval-type films out there over the last decade...

I'm glad that I saw the two versions of it.
I'm not disappointed at all and I do enjoyed the TV version of blackwater battle but I do think that it will be more impressive if the following 2 chapters were being adapted closely in the show.

it wasnt quite clear in the book as to whom ser mandon is serving. but afterwards it is believed that the queen ordered him to kill tyrion in the heat of battle bcoz tyrion insisted that joffrey be in the battle, risking the king's life.

cersei would do anything to protect her kind.

Added on May 30, 2012, 12:52 pmbtw, i've always had a nagging feeling that i've seen the actor who played joffrey in some other show before.

today i realized he was in batman begins, near the end, protected by katie holme's character, then saved by batman. what a prik he become.

It does raise the bar for war sequence on TV shows.
And it is very hard to beat.
But the next battle on the show may top it.

He deserves some recognition. He is really doing a great job at being an anal.

he is a great actor, or else he won't piss u guys (and the entire world) off so badly. too bad he's going to retire from making movies back to his studies, he has great potential at being super villains in tv or movies.
