there should rules regarding spoilers here.. sad.gif

like this from other forum:
SPOILER RULES:

- ABSOLUTELY NO BOOK SPOILERS. It doesn't matter if they're under spoiler tags, they should not be in this thread. Use the other thread for book-related television discussion. This includes alluding to things, subtle hinting, comparing the books to the show, etc...

- Regular TV thread rules apply:

Once something airs in the US on the East Coast, it's fair game. Feel free to discuss anything that has aired without using spoiler tags.
Anything that hasn't aired yet should be spoiler tagged including information from HBO previews, loglines, trailers, interviews, and a few other places.
Speculation from people that haven't read the books is fine and encouraged.

- For the book readers that want to lurk in this thread:

No taunting or teasing:
e.g. "Oh, just wait until you guys see what happens to him next week!!!"
No leading questions:
e.g. "What do you think will happen to this character by the end of the season?"
No comparing the book to the show:
e.g. "Well, that's different than in the book where they..."
Answering questions is fine when the information is readily available from what has aired on the show.
e.g. Q: "Wait, how is Robb related to Ned?" A: "Robb is Ned's son."

^this. totally hate it (particularly this thread) to click spoiler, and found it a book spoiler.. i bar myself to touch the buttons here..

maybe excessive, but i would like to ask posters pretending the books not exist at all.. setup another thread for books readers..

I think people should disassociate themselves from the internet completely if they wanna avoid spoilers.

^its pretty clear the thread title are "Game Of Thrones [Season 2]".. its arent "A Song of Fire and Ice"..

its normal, a poster (a series viewer only) are pretty annoyed when they accidentally read a spoilers about what would happen next. for me, the solution are, the readers create their own thread. they could discuss pretty much everything about the books (and the series)..

having said that, this forum are not big, not many posters around.. one thread possibly better than 2 separated threads.. it'll be dull foruming between fewer fellows viewer..

War is here, LOL!
I know how effing is it to be spoilt but it is inevitable for a book adaptation.
I know I'm most probably the biggest effer here, LOL!
I guess I just love to share...but I did not spoilt Ned's death, not even Renly's.

I don't just compare the book to the show, I compare the show to the book as well.
And my comparison is not just negative but positive as well.
I love how they develop Margaery in the show and revealed her intention early in the game.
I love how the show depicts Renly and Loras's relationship, which clearly explain Loras's reaction to Renly's death.
I love the dragon stealing plot to spice up Danaerys storyline which is not in the book.
I kinda think Robb and Talisha are cute together.
And Shae is more loveable in the show while she is just a spoilt ho' in the book.

Actually, it is nicer to read it while/before enjoying the show. you can maximize the satisfaction watching the series. there is a little hole here and there but the production team of GoT managed to filled it with different angle as well as surprises not only to viewers but book readers.

The best thing if you read while/before watching the series, you can imagined it how the fantasy world/ ideas are being implemented and when the series came out, you will feel so good that you want to watch it again and again.

Of course, there is a certain expectation from the book readers on some point but as far as this series went on; it has been done splendidly especially Season 1. Only few characters have been left out or plot being erased.

that it could bring better discussions among fans of the series and tv viewers.

Either you're reading the books/watching the show, so far, both medium has been very good in the own way.
I will say GOT is one of the best tv show at the moment if not the best while ASOIAF is one of the best fantasy series out there as well despite the slower pace of 4th and 5th books.
So the TV audiences are not at loss if they don't want to read the books.
But it will definitely enhance the experience as the books do provide some background/extra information for some of the plot.

They have to save their own anals so they have to join other forces.
Too bad, Littlefinger happens to work for the Lannister.
And Robb and the other self proclaimed King have not acted on getting the Tyrells to their side.
It will be interesting to see the two richest houses in the 7 kingdoms to work together in the future.

Its not more of hate then it is of playing the game... that's what its all about.. if renly had been killed by a lannister the tyrells would've joined with stannis... that's the game, having power at any cost no alliances are safe or solid

U'll be alright.
Shitstorm to the plotter of his assassination is not the only thing he'll bring to the future plot.
There will be good stuff that will grace the TV screen and put the TV audiences in awe like the Blackwater Battle did.
