a little bit slow in Ep08, but finally we get to see Drogo in action! thumbup.gif Brutal!!! Mortal Kombat should have him as a character tongue.gif

Was expecting to see some clashes between the army of the houses, but in the end there's none. sad.gif

Expect to see more betrayals and killings in the last 2 episodes!! rclxm9.gif

and lastly, my fav quote so far for all of the episodes tongue.gif
"Where do I begin, my lords and ladies? I am a vile man, I confess it. My crimes and sins are beyond counting. I have lied and cheated, gambled and whored. I'm not particularly good at violence, but I'm good at convincing others to do violence for me. You want specifics, I suppose. When I was seven, I saw a servant girl bathing in the river. I stile her robe and she was forced to return to the castle naked and in tears. I closed my eyes, but I could still see her tits bouncing. When I was 10, I stuffed my uncle's boots with goat sh*t. When confronted with my crime, I blamed a squire. Poor boy was flogged, and I escaped justice. When I was 12 I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald men cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did. I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel.... "
Tyrion Lannister, a Lannister I actually like tongue.gif

Reading the book on my iPad currently (pretty good investment if u read a lot of book & comics n u know where go "get" em. tongue.gif). Hehe. I think I'm only up to 2nd episode with the book (Jon & the Imp still on the way to The Wall, someone tried to kill Bran)

Damn they missed out quite a lot of details in the series. Like when Tyrion tells Jon the dragon story when en-route to The Wall.

^yep, well there's only so much they can fit into 10 episodes smile.gif

So alot of the 'details' in the books aren't included. IMO, its fun to watch and think 'oh yeahhh, that was in the book', etc smile.gif

Buy paper for collection purpose but iPad for reading. Its almost like reading a real book. will not hurt your eye so much compared to normal LCD screen.

Just read through Bran's dream. Really long la his dream inside the book. Drama only show 3 eyed crow lol. And Catelyn used ship to reach Kings Landing. Not on horseback tongue.gif.

of cos la... screen adaptation must change a bit here and there
the changes are all consented by the author himself wink.gif

In the book, Cat need to reach King's Landing b4 Ned's arrival, so she used ship which is faster
on the screen, there's no need for such haste, so ride horse la tongue.gif
filming horse also much cheaper than filming a ship tongue.gif

There will be a lot of ships in 'A Clash Of Kings'.
They must increase the budget next season.
I seriously cannot wait to see Stannis Baratheon make his appearance.
As for the changes, So far, I think they have done right.
Even with Drogo and Danaerys first night.
The only change that going to 'kinda' bother me would be in the last episode...

Hehe 'ships' if you know what I mean.

Nah, without using an iPad, I've read the whole 4 books on my iPhone small screen with only the book's plot to keep me going. *Gotta strain my eyes sometimes for the sake of finishing it* Haha.

Oh, just when Khal Drogo's in action, the actor quickly jumped to be Conan later. ;p

Anticipation for the North Bannerman to come grows stronger for me!

local bookstore here dun have any of the books also, have to buy from Amazon liao, but will wait for book 5 to release first, and buy all 5 at one go. Cheaper that way tongue.gif

honestly, local bookstore's books are all over-priced, even books are tax free, they're still bloody expensive compared to the actual retail price of the originate countries doh.gif

back to topic, Ep09 Baelor today... icon_rolleyes.gif

Shocking episode, but from comments over the net people are saying the shows /books will get even better, I really hope so.
Without spoiling so much, without a doubt the best ending for an episode, heart pumping as hell and I thought maybe "if" .... (I didn't read the book yet).
Could have been the finale but 1 more epi to go .......
After this season is done will read the book and watch re-run, have read till Bran's fell from the tower, the series really sticks to the book.
Best adaption from the book that I have read so far is probably the scene where Tyrion having breakfast with his siblings and his sister's displeasure with his behaviour and his brother questiong his loyalty to the family, an epic adaption from the book ....
Best opening must be Tywin skinning a dear while discussing the family's honour to Jaime.
1 more epi to go folks!

Haha! I don't know I got ppl who is the same case with me. Yea too bad, book depository have em with free postage.

The worst case that I'm worried is that they no longer sell the original cover of the book but paste some typical movie adaptation cover like the first book on the shelves now.

Speaking of the series, after season 1 ends, will the new season be launched next year?
