IMO, Ep05 best episode so far... blood & madness everywhere! woot!! thumbup.gif

btw, in this series, they change Lysa's son's name from Robert to Robin

and when i was just about to get attached to Ed's captain, Jory, then.... cry.gif

Haha! Moral of the story is don't get too attached to the characters. You'll get facepalmed in the end.

Oh, and I always thought the Jaime's intervention scene was at night and raining. wink.gif

It was a pay off episode.
The revelation of Ned investigation. Yes, I did not see that coming while reading the book.
The golden crown scene is very creepy and very difficult to look at. Danaery nailed the end by saying 'Fire cannot kill a dragon'.
The Tyrion trial had me at the edge of my seat but Lord Robin is bloody annoying. It would be good to see him fly instead.
Theon and Ros were just there to throw in some nudity. I find that quite hilarious.
Next week will be awesome knowing what to come from the book.

Yeah besides the nudity being forced upon us, i think the show has been brilliant. It's just one epic scene after the other. Almost like a duel between characters if its not swords agaist swords, it be a battle of wits and intellects. Conflicts at every turn. Just keeps you on the edge of your seat - or bed.

Btw: EP 7 is already out if you can't wait till next week tongue.gif

HBOGo already showing it. There's a copy floating around which is ripped off the web player so the quality is meh. Defo worth the wait for a 720 imo. I should've waited, now i have to go without GOT for next 2 weeks!

Added on May 25, 2011, 5:49 pmLooking at the EP titles, the finale ep is called blood and fire. That's the ritual at the end of book one so i think the season 1 pretty much cover book 1.

anyway... for those 2 weeks of waiting, can watch back the previous episode mah wink.gif
this is one of the only series in recent years that I re-watch the episode twice in a week tongue.gif

So S01 will cover book 1 eh? It will be interesting to see how they portray the dragons at the end of season, and more screen time of the dragons in S02 rclxm9.gif
also the war between the houses rclxm9.gif

At the end of this week's episode, Ned just found out that King Robert's son is not his son. Everyone in Robert's line has black hair except his golden haired idiot of a son.

So I come to the conclusion that the prince is actually the offspring of the Queen & her brother. They should have left the mad king on the iron throne seeing how ridiculous Robert's royal family has become.

I thought the Borgias family was ridiculous but Robert's family in this show is even worse.

I was shocked to see Jason Momoa without his beard in Conan blink.gif

Anyways, the man on the iron throne would be Petyr Bellish aka Lord Littlefinger. No spoilers here because we have seen him since episode 3. smile.gif

You do know why the mad king was disposed right ? Because he was mad, and his son was the catalyst that led to the civil war. Robert has his flaws but he doesn't rule with an iron fist - some will argue that he just doesn't rule at all. The King Robert is not the same man before he became king. Behind that proud and iron will man, is actually a broken man. I don't think he ever recovered from Lyanna's death (Ned's sister). He could've have been a great man and even greater king, but he rather drink endlessly to keep his depression in check. It's a rather tragic story imo.

Even though, they are a product of incest between Cersei and Jaime.
Only Prince Joffrey appears to be an idiot.
Princess Myrcella and Prince Tommen are not half as bad.

I don't quite understand that part of the story.
Some flashback on the show would be good.
I only know Robert had most of the Targaryen killed.
