MNP *ALWAYS* takes some time, there's no on-the-spot.
you have to do MNP, your unused credit would be burned, and you can only purchase your iPhone4 when the MNP is completed.
*
In that case, I need to go to DiGI centre and do MNP first to anticipate the DiGI launching soon? If I were to subscribe to Maxis postpaid from Hotlink, does it require more time as well or it could be activated on the spot?

I just read that MNP will lock you to one package for minimum 3 months, so I advise those who want change to iPlan, don't try to MNP now, or you will stuck with DiGi smartplan for minimum 3 months.

Most possible because Apple or the Local Telco Governance will not allow competition on pricing at the same time

I think that only applicable to the phone right?

The package should be depending on each telco.

If I remember correctly, you can't change plans for 3 months after porting over to digi.

Guys, before you talk bollocks .. go Digi website lah and get the information from there.. ayoo..

http://www.digi.com.my/iphone/getone_switch_plan.html

That is for MNP .. don't need to wait for 3 months etc.

Both a13solu3 & Wiraone are correct

a) If you do MNP now, you will lock into one plan/package for a minimum 3 months

b) iits best if you wait for the iPhone 4 plan to launch, then MNP for its new iPlan. You will be able to get your iphone 4 once you are successfully ported over (which take sometimes )

update:

c) port in to Digi prepaid now, then you can sign up for iPlan during iphone launch

I just read that MNP will lock you to one package for minimum 3 months, so I advise those who want change to iPlan, don't try to MNP now, or you will stuck with DiGi smartplan for minimum 3 months.

yea.. previously b4 i switch to digi frm maxis, digi cs oso told me haf to wait for 3 mths b4 i can get idigi plan. no matter do it nw or later. when i go on their i3gs launching, the those big management, told me tat no need worry bout the 3 mths stuff as he assure tat he no need 2 wait for 3 mths.

conclusion is, once the iphone4 launch in digi. jz told them u wan mnp. straight away can mnp to iphone plan. cz they sure wan more customer.. nt shoo off their customer tongue.gif

as for the mnp.. there are charges on your nxt mth bill statement. in d beginning i tot no need, bt there is.. d cs told me tat it's counted as per number.

What I knew is , Digi is offering 24 months contract basis, this is why the phone that we think is cheaper than what Maxis is Offering. Just my opinion, Maxis got more options like 1 year or 2 years contract. Although I am both postpaid user now. sometimes do feel they are the same.

Well at least Digi calls are standard rate throughout. Maxis free minutes are only for their own network calls
