you have to know about this first:
base clock x dram multiplier = dram clock
230 x (5/3) = 383mhz
240 x (5/3) = 400mhz

sis, imo it's not d board problem. i faced d same thing on thuban regardin divider issue. d problem is with d chip, as certain divider not workin well with certain frequency @ certain timin. to say dfi mobo is a crap is a bit harsh... sweat.gif

second that... not all fx5000 can clock decently. imo there were 2 batches available back then, one was cherry picked where d price is significantly higer than d other... nod.gif

no. of phase doesn't affect much as long as d build quality is there. no doubt earlier batch of 790fx-m2rs got problem w/ fried mosfet, but d 790fxb was superb, to me at least... wink.gif

u must tried out yaself since d chip is w/ u, never tried fx5000 b4 but from my past experience 1.3v should be more than enuf for a 2.75GHz, if there's any stability issue, it mite caused by nb freq or memory. hmm.gif

btw, 2k @ cas 7 prime stable is finally done!!!! rclxm9.gif

sadly trcd need to be loosen to 10, but nonetheless, cl7 was able to maintain... 50% prime stable overclock on ram... my highest so far... blush.gif
