guys, just wondering, i tried running gparted, but it seems that it doesn't recognize the card reader from my laptop as in the built in one (dell inspiron 1420) i can't seem to make it appear no matter how... in win7 it does read the card, but on gparted, no go...

here's what i did.. i insert the card into the card reader.. boot the laptop and run the cd. choose option to run on RAM and then you can eject the cd out and still runs GParted. with your SD Card is still mounted you will see it's already in the system. try it.

Why not leave the card in the phone and use the USB cable? Rem to set on the phone to read the card.

Hmmmm at least in Ubuntu it could "see" the card.

no no i got the whole thing except the docking. i bought total 180sgd for myself. now i'm finding where to get the docking. seems not selling in store yet.

for the sdcard to simply run on phone and run on ubuntu is still okay mah only that i prefer to use gparted. simple system for partitioning purposes only. not sure why it doesn't work for you. at 1st i was having the same problem but i did what i mentioned above and works flawlessly. i'm running on win7 ultimate, desktop.

download this for the usb gparted iso file
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/fi...-8.iso/download

Download this to make the pendrive bootable and also extract the iso file into your pendrive
http://sourceforge.net/projects/unetbootin/files/

boot up the pc, keep pressing F11 and the boot screen will show up. Choose boot with usb drive lor... and the rest just follow the instructions

You can use any stand with a fridge magnet to get the docking software to detect a dock without having a dock!

Or just use the following applications:

Dock Service (this allow to set it to simulate docking when you plug in the usb cable)
Dock Simulator (switch to car or dock)

from the Android Market.

Cheers
