underaged gliders tend to be smaller in size n dun grow well...
but i do have a couple which is miniature in size
lol!!
super cute, never grow up wan...
checked with doc de, says normal also...
but it'd from my own breeding so i know it's not underaged...

thanks yueyi and faidzal..tu la..maybe if the price is ok i just get from them aje la..USD not so high now anyway right?if the shipping is high maybe we can pakat pakat kaotim order together then should be cheaper also kan? instead of the plain ones like the army..ini baru betul dog tags...heheheheh

piggy, glider are like kids also....some very fussy others semua tibai...just because hpw works wonders with most people doesnt mean yours is going to fall instantly in love with it...what i did was hold off giving fruits and vege until he's hungry, keep offering hpw on my finger, bila he's hungry licin je he'll eat the whole thg thumbup.gif .once he's used to it then just have a regular schedule of when you give hpw and when you give fruits etc..they love fruits because it's sweet and fresh...macam kids laa if they like somethg they'll eat all of that first before anythg else tapi takkan nak makan only that, right?must balance also...you have to be the judge la..tough love.. tongue.gif

if it doesnt work anyway then i suppose you have to change it to somethg else like gliderslurp etc...what to do kan? hate to waste the hpw you already bought so maybe try first a few days before giving up? ps no need to push too hard either..if asyik kena rub in their face lagi he'll get irritated.. biggrin.gif good luck

Added on July 15, 2010, 8:16 amforge,i dunno if the sifus here would disagree but i tink apples so much not good laa..better papaya watermelon etc high cal content and the water is good also since now so hot and dry

i get gliderslurp from crazymouse_yyh can find in the petstore low yat section...u can get from pet epicure also..she makes them fresh when ordered..most of the time cod to get it..
i see her once every 2 months to get my supply..i love the idea of assorted flavours so your glider wont get bored with just 1 flavour.

a little bit of everything give the best nutrition...
dont oni give 1 type of fruit or vegy

normally i give 3-4 type of fruits and vegy at a time..like apple/carrots/peas/pear/watermelon/honeydew/sun melon/papaya/blueberry/orange/tangerine/sawi/broccoli-just mix and match la...

somtimes i put honey on the fruits/vegy for them to lick lick lick...but they very pandai lick all the honey in every piece oni start eationg..hahaha..hpw already got a lot of honey so i guess u guys must control giving honey as treats.
can try sprinkle acasia gum also can

@ForGe: the cage provided by the seller is too small for our momo... dats y we decided to buy a larger cage... and alang2 buy new cage... i go for bigger one coz later can add more toys for momo and not really crowded...

@piggyzai & yueyi5730: my first night give hpw to momo, he dont like it... he keeps running away... then yesterday morning, my wife replace a new hpw in his food bowl... he didnt touch it either... then last nite, i give some butterhead lettuce to momo and then give some apple... then i dip the apple into hpw and give to momo... he lick all the hpw and leave the apple smile.gif ... lucky he likes hpw already... if not sure waste to throw away the hpw... after all the hpw finish... after midnight momo eat all the apples and vegies left in the bowl... biggrin.gif
maybe u can try this method also piggyzai...

i notice momo always active after midnight and when the lamp is off... if i turned on the light... he will be less active... this is normal rite? since suggies is the nocturnal type...

faidzal, u r right, is normal for them to be more active when all lights are off. Some glider are shy until they will stay inside the pouch even only a small dim light is on..

Gliders are picky eater, it takes time to introduce them new food. Don expect them to jus simply chunk in everything that u serve. If the diet is really good for them, i don see any wrong to spend a little bit more time and effort to let them accept it. smile.gif

I took 2months to introduce one of my glider yogurt drops~

i also new at this learn on the spot coz want to save RJ..lucky the sifus here helped..just sharing what i learnt..forge..have you tried looking at the list of fruits gliders can eat or not? if you google sure ada punya.. what the sifus here say is right better to mix and match the fruits and veges how you do that is up to you..as long as you keep in mind the cal:phos ratio.

piggyzai..coconut chunk as in the actual pieces of coconut or the nata de coco thingy?they are very high phos content we have to careful coz too much phos can be bad for their bones.. hind leg paralysis etc..

mine are fussy if i campur 3-4 types of fruits.. they'll eat only what they like and leave the rest.so i feed them one type at a time and the next feed somethgelse.
some of these in malay are: tembikai susu, jambu air, betik, jambu batu, tembikai biasa all good. oren not so much they can cirit as do many sour acidic fruits.. careful with high phos content like banana and coconut or durian grapes pun cant give so much the high oxalates prevent cal absorption....very sparingly only...as treats not as staple diet.

basically give them a mixed variety however you can just be careful of the overal nutrition impact.
