underaged gliders tend to be smaller in size n dun grow well...
but i do have a couple which is miniature in size

well i'm feeding GliderSlurp..i tried hpw but they dun really like it also..tat's why i change to slurp..few of my frens face the same problem too

make sure that the slurp does not get into his nose. it can irritate just like water get into ur nose. can also cause stress to ur glider..  

@ForGe: the cage provided by the seller is too small for our momo... dats y we decided to buy a larger cage... and alang2 buy new cage... i go for bigger one coz later can add more toys for momo and not really crowded...

@piggyzai & yueyi5730: my first night give hpw to momo, he dont like it... he keeps running away... then yesterday morning, my wife replace a new hpw in his food bowl... he didnt touch it either... then last nite, i give some butterhead lettuce to momo and then give some apple... then i dip the apple into hpw and give to momo... he lick all the hpw and leave the apple ... lucky he likes hpw already... if not sure waste to throw away the hpw... after all the hpw finish... after midnight momo eat all the apples and vegies left in the bowl...
maybe u can try this method also piggyzai...

i notice momo always active after midnight and when the lamp is off... if i turned on the light... he will be less active... this is normal rite? since suggies is the nocturnal type...

faidzal, u r right, is normal for them to be more active when all lights are off. Some glider are shy until they will stay inside the pouch even only a small dim light is on..

Gliders are picky eater, it takes time to introduce them new food. Don expect them to jus simply chunk in everything that u serve. If the diet is really good for them, i don see any wrong to spend a little bit more time and effort to let them accept it.

i also new at this learn on the spot coz want to save RJ..lucky the sifus here helped..just sharing what i learnt..forge..have you tried looking at the list of fruits gliders can eat or not? if you google sure ada punya.. what the sifus here say is right better to mix and match the fruits and veges how you do that is up to you..as long as you keep in mind the cal:phos ratio.

piggyzai..coconut chunk as in the actual pieces of coconut or the nata de coco thingy?they are very high phos content we have to careful coz too much phos can be bad for their bones.. hind leg paralysis etc..

mine are fussy if i campur 3-4 types of fruits.. they'll eat only what they like and leave the rest.so i feed them one type at a time and the next feed somethgelse.
some of these in malay are: tembikai susu, jambu air, betik, jambu batu,tembikai biasa all good. oren not so much they can cirit as do many sour acidic fruits.. careful with high phos content like banana and coconut or durian grapes pun cant give so much the high oxalates prevent cal absorption....very sparingly only...as treats not as staple diet.

basically give them a mixed variety however you can just be careful of the overal nutrition impact.

Hi guys...I have a heart-breaking news     ...my mom lost my beloved Bell and Bella( in bonding pouch) this early morning at the bus station while she was getting off the bus to transit to another bus...she was carrying 4 bonding pouches and because she got a lot of things to carry by hand and also was in a hurry (because the bus driver asked everyone to change the bus to another bus). She only realized that one of the pouch was missing when she wants to take a taxi, and another thing is, she came to visit me since there's no one who can take care of my gliders...so.., she brought them along with her. I cried this whole day until my eyes so puffy..Even though my mom has bought me another two joeys to replace my Bell and Bella (and she named them Bell and Bella) they are not the same because each glider has their own personality.........!!!

Sg banned most of the exotic animals, sugar glider is one of the list. The government does not allow residents there to keep non-domesticated pets..This is because if a huge amount of glider are being abandoned and run freely in the country, it will mess up the balance of ecosystem.. Imagine, a glider mate with a native squirrel, then produce a new species...

Fyi, some countries label glider as pest..

Don try to sneak in glider to sg, you and your glider will be in big trouble if someone report to the authority.. You donwan that to be happened.. I'm going away to UK for few months too next year, without my pets.. T-T

Yes, There are no other vets. Dr Jenny really resign from being a vet anymore and will no longer treat sugar gliders.

Hi all Sifoos and SG lover,

Im very new in SG world... been flowing the thread for some time, and just got a pair of SG 4 days back.. yet to name them....... according to the breeder they are about 10 weeks old....

Been trying to bond with them and the female seems to adopt well, male took some time before adopting but he still  Carb's alot everytime try to approach him...

Been feeding them with watermelon and apple for the past few days... planing to get mango and few other fruits later in the evening. Should i introduce HPW or Gliderslurp to them now? If yes where can i obtain them? can any1 PM me where can get them please.

Thinking of feeding them with mealworm during this weekend? Is it recommended to feed them?

Just wondering for the past 2 days every time play with the girl she will pee on me .... is this a common or normal habit? She seems to be fine with me and run and climbs over me etc... open the cage door and put my hands she will jump over and start climbing on me. Is she bonding well with me?also been hand feeding her and she eats on my palm and like to nibble my fingers..

The boy alwayz takes time before climbing over the my hand... and he will be crabbing alot before settling down and climbing over my hand...he  spends most of the time sleeping while the girl is active...

Need some advise from the sifoo's here whats sort of diet should i put them on... talking abt yogurt its okay to feed them human yogurt with fruits in it? your advise is highly appreciated.

You didnt feed him with lizard, but you have the time to capture the photos of ur glider eating lizard? From your act, you are actually allowing your glider to eat the lizard.

Again, an important point to stress on this - DO NOT feed or allow your glider to eat any wildcaught insects, as you dono they carry any bacteria/virus/poison...

We need more pictures! Here's my Meeko! He's become very daring now, leaping from curtain to curtain and off the top of my head. Used to have a mini heart attack everytime he does that but now that I know he won't hurt himself, I've stopped worrying. When he wasn't bonded with me, he used to jump off me and onto my wardrobe and slide or bounce off cos my wardrobe has a smooth surface. Do any of you guys have similar experiences? I was so traumatized I didn't dare to let him climb on me while I was standing for quite a few weeks.
