Yes sirry..bald spot on his head . Well lucky me, all my male gliders does not have bald spot on their head. Eeowh...they look not so handsome but really cute rclxm9.gif
Eric these are my gliders infos:-

Peanut (M), D.O.A. : 17/12/2009
Mia (F), D.O.A. : 17/12/2009
Apple (M), D.O.A. : 28/12/2009
Gizmo (M), D.O.A. : 28/12/2009
Bella (F), D.O.A. : 28/12/2009
Bell (F), D.O.A. : 30/04/2010
Kiwi (F), D.O.A. : 16/06/2010

Kiwi is the youngest and the tiniest cause, when I first bought her, she was 2 months old and was quietly eating a small slice of an apple. I couldn't resist looking at her....all alone in the cage because I remembered this one incident this joey about 2 months old, self-mutation it's tail until you can see it's bone, it was hideous and terrible. The shop keeper did ask me to buy it before(before it self-mutated), since he knows that I have some sugies at home. I feel pity and sorry for all the joeys (especially the under-age ones) and I have come across a petshop in Johore, who wants to become a breeder (about 10 small cages(1x1x1.5 with coconut shells each) but he didn't even give his gliders any food and water.....they were all dehydrated and straving(all 20 of them).... cry.gif
I can't keep rescuing them every time I feel pity or sorry for them. I'm not a breeder myself and I have three moveable 3 feet cages and a 4 feet cage at home already. My mom already nagging me that our house is turning into a small zoo cause I keep them all in the house.

QUOTE(allenna @ Jul 17 2010, 05:48 PM)
Thanks you guys for the informations and Eric138 Sir, for your info, I'm not trying to handraise the joeys, I just want to keep it for an emergency case only....(just incase the mother rejects her joeys)
Ooo..yueyi5730, what type of protein food do you recommend me, other than superworms ,  HPW ( I use 2 High Protein Supplement + 1 Bee Pollen ), crickets, grasshoppers, silkworms pupae and mealworms ( live and canned food from Exoterra)..? Am i overfeeding them because I went to see Dr Jenny in the early June to have them all deworming, she got a shock and surprised because the male (Peanut)  does not have a bald spot on his head eventhou his nearly 2 years of age and weigh 107 grams while Mia is 89 grams. For your information when i first bought them from the petshop he had a bald spot (not so handsome at that time) and the shop owner only fed them apples and  mealworms only......

normally for lactating mothers/pregnant mother they double up the high protein wambaroo powder..this is an example ratio might not be the real one, lets say in the hpw diet u use one scoop of wambaroo protein powder and 1 scoop of bee pollen.. for lactating and pregnant monthers u should use 2 scoop of the powder and 1 scoop of bee pollen to make the hpw liquid.. t
yea variety of insects is good..u can feed dubias also if u want to..my gliders dun eat the can insects too smelly they dont want..your gliders weight are great..from the weight stated they seem to be in a good size..keep it up

sugar glider are very alert animals..your glider sensed 'danger' when it got startled then it runs for cover..then he bark to other sugar glider mates..this happen to my glider and the rest also took cover...just have to asure him tat everything is fine and they will come out to play again

i want to reply, i want to advise...but then i feel so fed up, cos u dunno anything but still wanna breed! vmad.gif

leave it to the parents, they'll know what to do with him...
y u wanna separate?
did the parents bully him?
if not then y did u think bout separating them?
if he's not 8 weeks old yet, he still need the guidance from the parents, some even still need milk from the parents even though they can eat by them self shakehead.gif

My sentiment exactly. But if I marah2, people will say I have ulterior motive. People will say I'm mean and heartless. And not only that, they will drag other people down with me.

I have been keeping gliders nearly 3 years now. Not even once I thought of breeding my gliders. I dont believe I have enough knowledge to do so, nor do I believe I am properly and mentally equipped to handle pregnant gliders and baby joeys. So it really pissed me off when newbies just when straight ahead with breeding. "Accidents" are not even a valid reason. Its not an accident when you place un-neutered male and female together. They are animals. They will mate. They doesnt know any better. but you do.

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

My male sugar glider is super duper active + aggressive...

he's quite big size, and his fingernails get long damn fast... everytime also will scratch my skin damn pain.. T.T...

Im trying to cut his fingernails but he just won't stay still and let me cut!

Furthermore, he'll just bite my fingers until damn pain if i force him don't let him move....

Any ideas??? I've neutered him, still so aggressive + crazy.......T.T

When I ignore him, he'll come to me and climb on my body or bite my toes to get my attention..

but when i wanna pat him, he'll just run away or avoid any human contact..

i tot i can deal with this at first but its really hard.. it has been 8 months +...

any ideas??????? sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

u got this glider when it's a joey or got it when it's already adult?it's 8 months old or 8 months with u?
for nail cutting put them in a sleeping pouch and cup them inside..then take a leg out one at the time and slowly cut the tip
he run away maybe coz not use to your hands grabbing him..most gliders dun likt to be grab they are not like hamster where u can cuddle in your hands for a long time..some gliders can some just cant..they like to climb jump and glide from high to low areas...they are active animals..just keep the bonding by offering hand feed treats...should be ok..slowly slowly lure to your body/hand then oni give the treat showing tat u mean no harm.

hey there..erm..is it sticking out all the time?
normally when gliders are scared or feel threaten they will release a murky white fluid from their anus..not the penis..very strong stench..so make sure where the mucus come from..
the penis normally it's pinkish red...not blood red might defer in colour but for precaution just watch out for self mutilation..your glider is single glider?since u say got smell i was worried if it's infected or sumtin..or maybe it's urine??not sure if possible show picture or describe more so others can help

yeah.. its pinkish red.. thas why at first i thought it was bleeding..
i also afraid that it was self mutilation but how can that happen, i mean what is the reason because its not like he's lonely. me and my sister play with him everyday + walk him in the garden everytime my father go to jogging.

the mucus u talking bout, i',m not sure. actually it happen when he's in the porch, and i'm watching tv. usually i'll put my hand inside at slowly rub him. its quite long. and after a while i look back, there goes the anus.. hehehe..

btw it the self mutilation really happen. i know i read some of the post says that but it never happen in front of my eyes. what chances it can happen?

dunno how u walk the glider in the garden but anyway..maybe u just monitor him few days since u yourself not sure the mucus is from where..self mutilation u can see excess grooming, hair loss,infection...u can read up on the internet for signs and symptoms..hope it's no big deal..
