i think this models after Panasonic's bluray player which has 2 HDMI 1.3 - and could have the potential of playing 3D content.  A Lot of people seem to have the misconception of equating 3D with HDMI1.4 - in panasonic's case, its 1.3 player outputs 3D movie through 1 hdmil and sound via the other.
*
Panasonic bluray player that have 2 hdmi output have 1x hdmi1.4 and 1x hdmi1.3
That way if you receiver do not have hdmi1.4, you can still get 3d picture from hdmi 1.4 to tv and another hdmi to receiver.

quick question. how come i always get no display (tv show input incompatible signal) after i watch a movie? mean after finish movie, i press stop/return to go back main menu, but always no display. i have to on/off and ac.ryan then only get back display. wats wrong ah? i using the hdmi cable that bundled together with the player connect to tv. for the sound i use the red/white cable connect to my amp.
*
does it happen to every file you play?
always and only when you press stop?
or it happens during playback sometimes?

btw, why use the red/white audio connections and not the hdmi or rca digital audio? old amp?

Hi people,

I just bought a POHD Mini for RM 390 in Sunway Pyramid. I also did something stupid just because I don't have a portable HDD, I thought I'd get an 8GB USB drive which would just be nice for a 1080p movie and when I got back home I then realise the filesize of the USB drive is only 7.45GB.

Wasted RM45 getting an 8GB USB for nothing. Should have been smarter.

Added on January 4, 2011, 10:06 pmPOHD Users,

Where can I get a cheap USB Dongle for less than RM50 so I can connect my POHD Mini to my PC? Thx

I think so too.

Actually I already have a 1TB Hdd and it is for the PC.

Looks like I will have to get another TB Hdd.

I'm not sure if I should be careful with my words, pardon me but does anybody know where I can purchase new HDD with pre loaded High Def movies?

hi there,

does anyone know when will acryan update the older version of playon HD with the new GUI2.0?. It seems like there is no news on this one although there is talk about it during Dec 2010.

Don't get your hopes high. Nowadays AC ryan is all talk. I already knew they won't make the expected target date of end of Dec 2010 . They might eventually come out later on, but expect it to be full of bugs as usual.

Thanks

HD Audio you mean? Check the setup - system info. If yours is 1073DD C+ then it's the new one. But if you have bought recently it will surely be a new board. It's almost 9 months already since the new board started selling.

Don't forget, having HD Audio support in your player is useless if you don't have an AMP that support HD Audio.

Hmm all I read here is how bad and lousy the acryans are. Make me feel like I made the wrong decision to get one but seriously after I updated mine with the latest firmware I find that it is working just fine and I'm happy with it.

i feel the same way...
in reality, i am very satisfied, the firmware updates are very good.
yeah, it hangs sometimes if you press the remote too fast but haven't encountered anything really bad.
read somehwere the essential remote is not as good...

think some problems caused by wrong settings, maybe faulty ext hardware, some firmware...

and perhaps like toyota or shell or nestle, even #1 brands get a fair share of complaints!

just go to the website http://www.acryan.com/en/ , select support and check if there is a new firmware for your model to download. read the readme file attached nod.gif and follow the instructions. depending on firmware version some may wipe out the hdd library some may not, you can check back here and let the sifu here know which version you are upgrading from and they will guide you smile.gif
