I concur your statement. cause i am using, optical cable from mini2 to avr. and the display only indicate DTS / DD eventhough i am playing a TRUEHD audio.
But I would like to ask one question.
Why is it that when i play DTS the sound is sharper and louder compare to dolby digital ?
In dolby digital, the conversation is so soft and when the action comes in, the sounds become so loud.
In DTS i dont have this issue.
You can google "DTS vs Dolby", it show you a lot of articles. There are many factors; bit rate, compression level etc. Some say DTS better and some say Dolby better. But I would like to ask one question.

But for me, I prefer to select DTS if there are 2 codec in same movie or game. I feel more surround effect compared to Dolby. Dolby a bit soft, I need to raise up few volume level in order to get same "satisfaction" as DTS.
