Hi..Yesterday went to check brake pad..it totally gone..change both side for Rm75. Btw..this coming tuesday wanna do some repair on driveshaft..The foreman say my lower arm got problem also..need change..What if i change driveshaft but didnt change lower arm? what will happened? And alignment after change driveshaft and add camber nut total Rm95..isn't necessary to do it? Sekali gus repair steering holder with RM80+ isn't necessary to do it? Scare he ask me to do something that might not necessary to do it.

Hi all,

Having some problems with my 2006 Saga. The exhaust is giving some bursting sound everytime I drop gear, like misfiring. I changed my muffler and center bullet but still the same. Any other parts might be faulty? Also, after changed muffler and bullet, I hardly notice any power difference, but FC have dropped quite alot (Maybe possible caused is the bursting exhaust) from full tank avg 550km to barely 480km now. Planning to change the carb air filter and add in a front bar too. Pls recommend brand/type. Thanks bros.

*edit:

Also planning to change rims. Currently on 14" proton jrd rims 185/60/14. I'm happy with the fuel consumption (before the problem started) but lack grip sometimes. Is 15" recommended on Saga?

Hi, recommend you to use K&N drop in air filter. Bought mine from Kakimotor at RM250. Front bar, always go for Ultra Racing lah....
If upgrade to 15' rims, sure your f.c drop even more. I'm also using 14'rims. Try using Hankook V2 Blackbird @ V8 Ventus.
They're UHP tyres (Ultra High Performance). Super silent, super grip, excellent to drive in wet weather.

retune ur carburetor... change to new sparkplugs... check and make sure ignition all running well (distributor and sparkplug cables)...
carb air filter... got budget k&n lo.. no budget, any air filter will do laa... as long as its clean can liao... front bar get ultraracing bars... other cap ayam bars bolted onto ur absorber is not recommended...

yes 15" rim is recommended for saga... balance between performance and looks... if u want better grip, use better tyres... wider/bigger tyres is useless if u use cheapass tyre...

remove the vacuum gauge no more sound lo.. haha... that warning is to alert u to be light on ur throttle... good for those who cannot control their heavy right foot...
ur dukduk sound not sure... need more info, or being in ur car only can recognize the sound... unless if i'm God den can tell u what problem directly lo...

Hi, would appreciate if any forumers here can recommend a good battery type (brand) for the Proton Saga, having experienced by themselves. My newly delivered Saga (less than 1 month old) could not start after 1 week's of non-usage. Battery voltage dropped to 6.5 volts. Went to SC but was denied a new replacement battery, and instead, they just manually charge it for 15 hours. vmad.gif
