Looking for a new HDD, and looking between, Samsung F3 and F4 ...

The diff between F3 and F4 are:

F3 running on 7200rpm with 32mb BM
F4 running on 5200rpm with 32mb BM

So, would really like to know live review how big is the diff or maybe what is the diff between them since f3 running on 7200rpm

checked on Samsung Website and found that f4 is actually slower than f3 by only 1 sec  tongue.gif

*edited, got wrong info.
*
For wat I experience is that 5400rpm has less problem than 7200rpm. Cause rpm simply means the number of times the disk spin using disk arms. Less spin means less problem happened. Few years ago i did try to compare btw 5400rpm and 7200rpm, it has a huge gap to be honest. But from the result it only has 1 sec diff which I feel is quite shocked.

I think someone has asked this question, roughly when will the F4 series out? Will the price like !@#!$#, lolz. Now F3 1Tb is so cheap I can even buy 3 HDD already biggrin.gif

F4 Mainstream Capacities is only from 250 to 320GB
and
F4EG Mainstream Capacities from 1.5 TB to 2TB

so cant really compare in the same size

I am in Perth at the moment and F4EG is on market now. Price for F4EG 2TB = $145 Aud = Rm435. Samsung F3 is selling on the price $79 (Rm237). So, I guess the price is not ^#^%$@. Not sure about F4 itself

I reckon Malaysia will be about RM40-Rm60 cheaper ...
Anyway thats not the point ... still considering F4eg or F3 to get .... Most likely go for F4EG

F4EG is ALREADY ON THE MARKET, LYP.
Not every shop is selling yet due to the fact that theres still quite abit of F3EG drives left, but stocks for F4EG are a plenty.

You Jjust have to ask.

Practically most shops.
But the ones which puts out on sale is Robyncom, Viewnet, and Cycom.

The others, just ask... really.
They have it, but they aren't selling it until requested by customers because they still need to clear the F3EG stock first.

hi guys,

just got my replacement WD green 500gb before raya.
unfortunately, less than a month already shows simptom of dying.
detected in BIOS but not in windows, and sometimes if detected in windows, if i want to copy files from it, it just stop running. after that it doesn't show anymore in my computer.

what the hack?? RMA twice in a month???

p/s - salute to my 15GB Quantum Fireball, runs +-10years and just recently RIP.
