QUOTE(qdipanda @ Jul 3 2010, 07:15 AM) hey guys....i wan to ask is the maxis center hav the test phone for HTC desire so i can play around 1st b4 buy it?? when you say play, do you mean just touch, touch or testing the apps and function? I think it depends on certain maxis centre if they actually have a demo model. Like a forumer said, KLCC and BB definitely got demo set. Anywhere else, I think they probably let you hold and feel it, but to turn it on maybe not cause they're showing off the stock set. |

guys, really need your advice here..
in the midst of buying desire, but dont know which network to choose from yet. im a maxis postpaid customer with 50:50 usage rate btween calls and data eventhough not signed up for data plan. got some questions in my head now whether to stick with maxis or change to digi... a) is maxis 1.5g data plan enough for moderate network usage? +apps installation, news and probably some downloading b) is digi unlimited plan really worth it? speed-wise? connectivity-wise? read some bad comments on their customer service though c) anyone here using desire with digi unlimited? if so, how was it? d) should i really need to consider changing to digi then? help guys...! before i head to LYP and buy one! |

QUOTE(jasonloke @ Jul 3 2010, 05:44 PM) thanks for the confirmation, the widget looks very very nice, IMO... oh well, time to decide to get either 3(cubed) or doubletwist or just stick with hTC... n our commitment to providing you with the best user experience, we are pushing out a new firmware update to your phone. Your phone will receive a notification of this update when it is made available. Simply press OK to accept the update via a data connection such as Wi-Fi or GPRS/3G. After installing the update, you can confirm a successful update by confirming the Software Number (From the Home Screen go to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software information> Software number). The new software number after the update will be 1.31.405.4 on HTC Legend and 1.21.405.2 on HTC Desire. Note:We recommend using a free Wi-Fi hotspot or an unlimited data plan to apply this update. If not, standard data connection charges may apply. For any questions, please contact us via http://www.htc.com/www/CA_Hotline.aspx |

QUOTE(ksh9394 @ Jul 3 2010, 07:06 PM) wat is the benefit of updating the firmware? this is what i found I try to update the software but the systems say my phone has the latest update Changes reported: - Updates bootloader to 0.80. - New radio image. - New youtube app with HQ option (1.6.20E). - Fixed htc's weather widget (integrated into clock&weather widget) not knowing where you are (1.15.xxx just said the name of the country in some countries). - SMS issue (from non-numerical senders) is resolved. - fixed random contact showing when receiving operator SMS. - fixes the voicemail bug for the French carrier SFR (short voicemail number used to call 911/emergency). - Messages app now shows a count on the number of messages in the SMS inbox. - calendar/contacts bug - unable to store contact's birthday - has been fixed. - Long click on the menu button when in home screen now doesnt pop up the keyboard, like it uselessly did before. - SMS reader does not show the little smiley androids any more - just the mere types. - Exchange Company Address Book is now properly working. Was unable to use before the update. - They have disabled the snooze function on the Optical trackpad for calendar events. This means that it is now possible to have the phone in your pocket without accidentally snoozing the alarms. My phone is currently on 1.15.405.4 |
