Guys and gals can be good friends, just becareful though, just because you're friends now, doesn't mean you'll continue to be in the future. Things do change in time, its quite common for close friends to fall for each other. How you both take it from there, is up to the both you.

hmm...i do think gal and guy can b good fren...coz i do have a couple of good guy frens...i call them my 'chee mui'...
i enjoy to hang out with close guy fren more coz they gave me true advise and they are there whenever u need them...
and it is good to have them hanging around with me coz i feel more safe and i have ppl to help me carrying things...

I agree with yeelin04, I don't have many girl friends, mostly guys. (Most probably because of the course I'm studying) And they treat me like a tomboy. I'm never a girl in front of their eyes. HAhaha~

I'm rather grateful I don't have a gang of girlfriends hanging out together always, because from what I see, girls tend to get into fight (because of jealousy or whatever) more than guys. A lot of drama going on. Perhaps I'm watching too much of Gossip Girl.

I guess if you do not have a bunch of girl gang you do not know, again it depends on individual. Even in family there are lots of drama between diff generation. Prolly if u have a buch of forgiving and easy goin girl friends you do not get so much drama.

I agree that it depends on individual. I had a gang of gfs back in high school and unfortunately they are neither easygoing nor forgiving. They backstab each other so much and I didn't really care about their issues ever since.
I have lots of gfs now too but not too close.

Yep... girls can be really mean, even evil to each other...
but between a guy and a girl... they can be friends, but not too close...
i mean, it happens, but very, very rarely. and even if you find one such friendship, they most likely WILL have or already have a 'history' together...
