Hey guys,

can anyone link me to the step by step guide to make my SPL and rom and radio back to factory default?

What is the default radio and rom version?

I am in need to claim warranty for my screen.

a few spots of my screen display brighter white color than the others.

Please help.

Everything one in all guide here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713977 . Just check up the appropriate links. You won't find anything simpler and better than this

Where and when you bought it ? There are so many types of roms, even in one region. There is no default - is different for different region. Best is ask your seller who sold to you. Actually you should have taked down all the radio and rom details first before you flash and have a backup copy of both radio and rom. Now only can guess based on area you buy and when you buy it.

Uninstallation
Only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

Official ROM 1.48.707.2 (71294) WWE

Actually you can go to HTC website here ---> http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.asp...cat=2&dl_id=854

and key in your serial number. It will then give you the latest compatible ROM (non-Tmous) to download. This is officially from HTC and should not void any warranty. Flashing official ROM will install rom, spl and radio. So your hspl will be removed.

take a look at this:

Do you people think I will be able to ask for a screen replacement or not?

Its pretty obvious that a few spots display brighter colours.

This is especially so when I put pure white/ pure red / pure blue

The touch screen is not malfunctioning at all, just that the colour abit weird

Added on August 25, 2010, 11:15 pmI highlighted the malfunction spot.

Not sure about this but there is no harm in doing a task 29 first.

Task 29 itself does not do anything to the program. Its only purpose is to format all possible sector of your device storage so that all data left from previous flash are deleted.
It is always good to use it before any flash.

I have been testing several roms the last few days and I would say I am very happy with it. There is virtually no lag as the android port need to be execute from the sd card, it is wise to start with a newly formatted card. Copy back your windows data after you have successful porter over. It is a bit troublesome but is worth the extra time spent. Previous versions of these roms had slight issue like hard buttons sometimes lit up, sometimes off, slight freeze, slow scroll among screens etc. You will hear about all these in the earlier release. I would say the releases since after mid aug for those I tested are really very much improved. Infact I have been on android rom last 2 weeks and very happy with it
The test do it yourself. Verify it yourself. If you read the xda forum you will find all sort of comments, you don't have to believe it. Similarly you don't have to believe what I said here

What I can say is I am very happy with it and always say performance even better than my nexus. My latest rom Matt fryo 1.6b I recorded a quadrant reading of 1490 this is fantastic, not that it is important, just shows the android options had improved tremendously. The minimum I recorded in other android roms was at least 1250 and average around 1350

So far I tested darkstone froyo v1, darkstone hd2 froyo2.1, Matt froyo 1.5, 1.6, 1.6b, shubcraft 1.3, 1.4d plus few others. Those I listed are good . There are slight bugs you don't expect a perfect rom. You don't even have a perfect cook windows rom. So best is test yourself and find the one best suitable for you

I still maintain my claim that the android rom on the hd2 has given me 99.99% satisfaction.

Don't know if facebook app would cause this. Usually its swype keyboard.

But the bad news is i don't think there is a workaround except for a HR. Can you still access your phone through activesync? If yes, then maybe you can still backup your files.

Lets wait and see what the other gurus have to say about this.

You could convert your HD2 to have 576MB RAM with certain ROM. Essentially it makes no difference to the device speed. You could now hack the T Mobile HD2 to be like a normal HD2, with a cooked ROM.
If you are familiar with flashing ROM, maybe T Mobile is worth considering due to the price difference. wink.gif
