maybe can add this software

www.palringo.com

it's a free IM. support multiple protocol. auto start up and run in background, notify new message via beep, tone, vibrate and system message. in my opinion, interface, functionality and features way better than agile. ad supported, but so far i've never see any ad (even on desktop version)

you can enable agps by using advanced configuration tool. then you need to edit registry to use google or nokia server (the only two servers i know have info on malaysian telco BTS).

how? google lah. i don't remember everything.

if i'm not mistaken, google server is supl.google.com, the same server HTC location is using.

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jul 29 2010, 08:41 PM)
Does this phone have A-GPS? Where to enable it?

So sick of my HTC P3300 because no A-GPS, cause if go inside car with v-Kool, satellite signal cut off.. but using A-GPS on my dad's Nokia C5, still fullbar GPS

so is this phone's A-GPS good?

Added on July 29, 2010, 11:23 pmedit this:

HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL aGPS\
EnableAGPS: 1
ServerIP: 74.125.113.192

maybe one day if google change its IP, just do nslookup on supl.google.com

to know if it works:
don't use agps yet
go somewhere with no GPS signal, but got telco signal
see your location on google map. you should see a big blue circle telling you your location within few hundred meter
now enable agps
see your location again. now your location is closer to your real location.

this will only work if your location are overlapped within 2 or more BTS. if you got signal form only 1 BTS, the big blue circle will appear.

mine too. i have 3 batteries now. but i guess it's normal. palringo, outlook activesync, location service, google latitude ... maybe some other applications. last time when i don't have all these running on my x1, the battery would last 1 day, and when i use internet on my x1, it would last just few hours. so i guess with all these applications constantly connecting, then it should be no surprise.

talking about batteries, momax 1100ma last longer than stock (1230ma). stock last longer than andida 1600ma

so the lower the capacity, the longer it last. smile.gif

off topic:

can we buy that form any spec outlet? i always wonder where i can buy it. previously i just got used one from family and friends. some are good, some will leave stain. i want the good one where it will collect everything from the lens and when i wash it under water it will get rid everything from the cloth.

i also use facial blotter, but now its getting expensive, more than RM5 per pack.

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Nov 1 2010, 11:39 PM)
I tried using the cloth that was for my spectacles, looks like it wipes the lens clean..

Getting my HTC HD2, second hand, tomorow !

First thing I have in mind is to

1)Get a matte anti fingerprint protector - easier to 'Swype' ain't it?
2)HardSPL, flash new radio and new WM6.5 ROM, any suggestion?
3)Get spare battery and battery charger, where to get and how much?

Thanks !

1. yes
2. my experience, minimum 2 hours, max maybe around 6. stand by 2 days. battery and desktop charger are cheap anyway.
3. as far as i can remember (since 1995), you can do this with any phone. i heard now you can also do this with TM provided stock phone for your fix line. now you can even do this for each number. are you sure you've seen a mobile phone before?
4. sd no, nand maybe
5. it's your opinion, why ask us?

anyway, if you ask these much, my suggestion is go straight for android. maybe desire hd.

QUOTE(little_pixie @ Jan 22 2011, 01:32 AM)
Hey guys! First time posting in Windows Mobile thread. Anyway, I'm a Blackberry user and I'm interested to have HTC HD2 as my second phone. Why I like it over an iPhone is because, it has a goddamn huge screen 4.3" and it is very nice looking phone.

Anyway, I wanna ask some questions. Hope you guys don't mind smile.gif

1) Is it possible to have simple homescreen? Because I found HTC Sense is very cluttered and complicated. And I love to have a nice wallpaper since it the device itself has a huge screen.

2) How's the battery life with the Internet connection on?

3) Can we customized our own ringtones?

4) Is it hard to upgrade to Android?

5) Lastly, why this device is so special compared to other HTC devices?

That's all. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea where & how to download the latest Garmin XT for HD2?

you can't. it's sold with sd card. but it has been discontinued due to garmin-asus collaboration.

it's like windows 95, if you try to copy it from your friend, you will go to jail, or worst, banned from lowyat forum. (you can still access forum from jail).

adida (not sure the spelling) 1600mA was good for about 6 months. after 6 months it can only charge up to 90% and will drain very fast.

momax is quite good, even with lower mA than origianl, it can last longer than original, but it can get very hot (50°C). when it get above 40°, your phone will stop charging (still can use, no problem).

btw, don't order momax online directly from momax. their price are too high. try to get from local shop first. there was this guy selling on ebay (http://myworld.ebay.com.my/eshopmomax) but currently he's stop selling. you can try PM him to ask if he's still selling. bad english, maybe can ask in chinese. or if you got friend visiting hk, you can ask them to buy for you.

my original battery is still good after 1 year 5 months.

Hi, I am rookies for HTC HD2. Is it support for Whatsapp app? Since it is a Window phone.
*
it's not windows phone per se. it's windows mobile. it's not your fault. it's microsoft that come up with confusing name, and not backward compatible OS.

whatsapp come out after they buried windows mobile. it's a normal business strategy not to develop for obsolete OS, or discontinue support for obsolete OS.

just get android for your HD2.

anyway, i was wondering, you can call htc sensation as andriod phone, call hd2 as windows mobile phone. but can you call htc hd7 as windows phone phone? or windows phone 7 phone? see.. they try to make everybody confuse.

maybe in malay ok lah. talipon android, talipon windows mobile and talipon windows phone.
