QUOTE(arbeiten @ Jan 27 2013, 05:09 AM) hello ppl. want to ask, i'm going to end my diploma in UTM KL this year & planning to continue in electronic eng for degree. however, starting 2011, UTM start to offer 2 courses for electronic eng : at diploma level, there isnt much difference between the two in terms of input. it will branch off and specialise towards the end of the diploma, as MJIIT is more tuned towards japanese technology. the syllabus is also a bit different when MJIIT have japanese input, where students would have to learn japanese at one point. 1) Electrical Engineering (Electronic) 2) Electronic System (MJIIT) what are the differences? As for electronic system, why it require band 3 in MUET to apply while Electrical Engineering (Electronic) in skudai only need band 1? thnx 4 the help to put it simply, conventional EE is western-centric, MJIIT is japan-centric. on MUET, degrees in skudai are 80-90% in english, but it has a lot of english classes that are tuned for even the most noob in english. so u dont need to worry about not having good english when u go to skudai. when u are in an environment with a large number of non-BM speakers (international students), u will learn english one way or another i dont recall MUET band 3 for any diplomas in KL, but i suspect it's a course specific requirement. highly likely because 100% of the materials are english and they are not bothering to teach u english |

Hey guys!! I just joined UTM (registered today) doing MSc in Petroleum Engineering. I was wondering if any senior can give me some insight in the final semester modules. Is the masters project similar to engineering design project? And what is field development project all about?

I have one really stupid question, what is the tuition fees of a master program in UTM?
I've got this LINK showing the tuition fees of postgraduate mainstream programs, but, this sentence kinda confused me: "Unless otherwise stated, the fees shown are for one semester of study and should be multiplied by the number of semesters of study to give an approximate total cost" So, RM 5,025.00 is only for one semester, and I have to multiply it by 3? Also, are there any scholarships offered by UTM or Malaysia that is applicable for taught-course based Master program? I'm currently studying in Taiwan and will be graduating with a Bachelor Degree, am thinking about applying for UTM's postgraduate programs, thanks a lot! |

Hi there, I want to ask a question that's been bugging my mind. ( Hope that this is the right thread.)
In the list of courses provided by UTM in the UPU registration system, the courses offered by UTM do not come with [ KEPUJIAN ] while some courses offered by other universities do have [KEPUJIAN] following the courses. SO, I'm now quite confused. Do the courses offered by UTM come with an honours title or not? |
